15% percent of our grade was determined by a 10-minute, one-question evaluation. There were 2 assigned practice problems for the entire unit. Labs are every week but only count for 20% of the final grade. Vatche talks down to students asking for clarification especially over email. Class is lazily run and lazily organized.

There is no textbook. All the notes are written on a txt file. The homework does not improve my understanding, not quizzes. The final is not too hard but way more difficult than what he taught. Easy to pass, too hard for a good grade.

If there's a professor never to take for physics, it's him. Do not recommend, he's rude and inconsiderate. On the outside he will say "Stress-Free physics!" "I want everyone to learn!" but when it matters and we need help, he'll literally ignore us. + barely assigns any assigned questions to study before his short-timed tests. How is he a prof?!

Professor V is a great man, but his teaching style isn't the most effective. The content is not hard, but I was confused about what I should include in my responses. He is super caring and bumped the class up 5%, given that he understood the academic pressures during the pandemic. The class itself was just not interesting.

Online this year. He doesn't really care about students in different timezones. For example, class is from 1-3pm toronto time, and for me is from 2-4 am in the morning. He doesn't do screen recordings. Quiz every week during tutorial, from 3-4pm toronto time, 4-5am for me. No alternative sessions. All sessions are from 3-4pm, in different days tho.

No recording for online classes. No textbook. Worst note ever. Homework that too have no idea how is it related to the course material.

Disclaimer - not 356 but 256, though for some reason I'm not able to select that. I have nothing positive to say. Poor organization, no syllabus, no practice problems, incredibly rude to students one-on-one, brutal to his TAs even though they did most of the work for the course. Made some great friends in the class just out of solidarity.

The official syllabus was released a couple of days before the final exam. Coordination and lectures were useless and disastrous. Avoid this person for good.

Disorganized lectures and unfair tests. You are better off reading the textbook, but even then, the questions in the exam don't correspond to what you learn in class. He didn't even give us the formula for the midterm.

Vatche's lectures were very interesting at first, I enjoyed the course a lot. This was until I realized there was no syllabus, no rubrics and we were given no idea on how the course was going to be marked. Tutorials were super helpful, but the professor always worked around questions and had little to no organization.

His lectures are funny, although you might want to go into lectures prepared. Do some reading ahead of class and the lectures will make much more sense. The organization of the class wasnt the best. I think having more problem sets or two midterms might be better than the current market scheme.

No clear syllabus till after the midterm, two problem sets neither one of them hard or long, making students ill prepared. Midterm was a 3 question 45 minute test, worth 30 percent of your grade, out of 20. Very few office hours. This was easily one of the worst classes I have taken on an administrative level.

Graded very heavily on very few things. Very little if any feedback given. Class feels disorganized and lacks direction. Prof feels unorganized and unwilling to put in effort into the class. Gives entertaining lectures that vaguely talk about the subject. Most people felt confused and lost about expectations in class. Horrible. Would actively avoid

Vatche was amazing in the beginning, and his lectures were a fun breeze until I failed the midterm having learned nothing in those first weeks. He is a good person and knows his material well but because he knows it so well, it's hard for him to present it comprehensively to students. He also didn't seem to care much about students themselves...
