Comment:
Had him as guest lecturer at UCSD. Made a very dull subject (hx of psych) bearable. I found his lectures somewhat dry but has a matching sense of humor and mellow style that was endearing. Sort of an east coast hippie. Exams: MC easy once you figure out that this is history, not typical psych,& he was a soft grader on long answers/papers. Take him!

heyser was a really cool guy - very laid back and if you talked to him you could tell he cared a lot about how you were doing. that being said, the man had serious attendance problems (he cancelled like 4 labs) and was a MUCH harder grader than you would expect from such an easy going person.

I studied for days before each exam, and still managed to barely pass them both. His notes are NOT detailed, yet he will want details on exams! Beware! Oh, and don't take any class taught by him in the morning, he has the most monotonous voice in the universe, it is practically impossible to stay awake!

VERY laid back style, labs never take the full time and are easy and fun, but don't underestimate the exams. The class covers a lot of information.
