Comment:
Absolutely useless professor. Professional incompetence and neglect of duty are his key attributes. Teaches a robotics class (2018) with a textbook from 1985. Reuses 20 year old slides full of errors because he's too lazy to make new ones. Doesn't give examples. English difficult to understand. Terrible teaching methodology.

Prof Zhang's English isn't very good, and he posts the complete lecture slides online. This is a pretty easy class and the final is open book. Lots of in class activities (quiz, case study) so you will need to show up for that. This is probably the most practical class that you take, and it would be extremely interesting if it was the right prof.

It's in your best interest to not attend lectures. Just read the textbook and find old assignments/notes/exams. Chris was clearly hired for his research, don't expect much in the form of teaching.

One of the smartest guys at the University. Not a teacher. Never sleeps. Uses the exact same assignments every year. Unintentionally funny. Get someone's assignments from the previous year, print off Zhang's PP slides, stay in bed, and hope for the best.

He's one of the hardest working profs I know, and he really tries hard to help students understand the course material. Unfortunately, sometimes the language barrier becomes a problem. He's very approachable though, and you can make an appointment with him in his office and he'll explain things until you get it. Nice prof.

Comment:
Zhang's pronunciation is not as good as a typical Canadian professor, but after a while you can get used to his accent and then it's not too bad. It's not easy learning a second language and having to teach a university class with it.

You will not learn anything from him, but if you want a good laugh, go to a few classes. Pronounces word funny and can't cantrol the loudnes of his voice (Quotes: "Ab-a-solute omeger", "Let-a me confuse you", "Think through the procedure BEFORE you copy!")

Hilarious guy, but impossible to learn anything from. Hard to understand most of the time, and good luck ever finding him in his office (he's probably there, but seriously, you won't find him in there). The momenafinersher.....

Absolutely worthless, does not contribute to your understanding of the material at all. One could simply not attend, read over the notes a few hours before the final and they're almost sure to pass.

He will do absolutely nothing to help you understand the course. He talks about the philosophy of a single problem for 3-4 classes but doesn't show you how to solve it.
