Prof. Peet is amazing. Super knowledgeable and caring. Their lecture notes are clear and they have very reasonable expectations. I don't know how one could hate on such a nice person...

Peet is a great instructor, very clear and good at answering questions. However, the prof is a little aggressive and intimidating which makes asking questions or requesting help very difficult, it also leaves some students feeling uncomfortable some times.

Comment:
Atrocious hypocrite of a professor. She/He goes on and on about equity, diversity, etc... but she doesn't respect anyone else's views. In 199, we talk about the origin of the universe (and possible theories for it), but she openly insults those with religious beliefs. Equality is a two-way street Prof. Peet.

Amanda Peet is an amazing person. Extremely prone to long tangents, irritable, and difficult to get a long with, but also quirky and very knowledgeable. Your experience will be dramatically shaped by whether you decide to view their personal eccentricity as a mark of genius or insanity. Nevertheless, if you give them respect, you'll get it back.

Rude doesn't cover it. Self involved, judgmental, always looking for a fight it seems. Don't ask questions that challenge her concepts or you will be cut down. She may know her subject but the point of her job is to teach it, something that it seems escapes her. Politically correct to a fault also.

Good professor. But, I was kind of offended by the opinions she expressed on God and religion.

What she is supposed to be teaching you: physics. What she will actually teach you about: her medical history, her New Zealand roots, how to interrupt someone asking a question, whatever other irrelevant B.S. she gets distracted by.

Through-out all my years in university, Amanda Peet is one of the worst professors I've had to interact with. She is rude, mean, and a horrible teacher. She whines all the time and thinks she is better than everyone else. I am shocked that someone of her quality was ever hired by UofT.

Sorry Prof Peet. love you as a person but epic fail in teaching. Not one assignment returned, no explanation for marks and final grade arbitrary.

Yup, she's can be pretty rude and abrupt. But she can also be funny and personable. Total mad scientist. The bottom line is that I learned more in this class than I have in any other class, and she got me (a sociology student) totally hooked on physics. I'd still totally recommend the class.

Totally weird, and needs to learn not to interrupt students when she's asked for questions or feedback. Can be rude/abrupt/awkward. But she also taught me about a subject that I never thought I'd understand, and her assignments were excellent for making us understand the material. I'd take the class again, for sure.

She is the worst instuctor I have ever seen in my life. She is very rude, does not know as much as she pretends and she hates it when you ask her questions. She makes the course very un-interesting and only relies on her notes on her laptop. she did not bother to solve the assignments before assigning them and that causes problems. Not recommended!

So basically, what I learned from this course is that all of physics is simply a prop for string theory...even though it isn't even a widely accepted theory!

she's not bad but not great either, tends to cut you up if you ask a question at the wrong time - and more (or any) examples would have been useful
