Dr. Rhodes is an incredible guy and really does care about his students. However, his grading criteria is very unclear. It is quite confusing how to succeed in this class, because you can't really study for the tests because they are open book essay. I love him as a person, but wouldn't take a class from him again.

Rhodes doesn't believe in using powerpoints or D2L. All of your assignments are emailed to you and you have to keep track of your own grade. There are only 4 tests and the final is worth 40% of your grade. For hw, you read and analyze court cases and then he cold-calls to recite cases in class. Tests are all essays. It sucked.

Dr. Rhodes is one of the two best professors I have had at TCU. He will make you think critically . By no means is his class easy, and you have to read the case studies he provides, but if you pay attention and attend class, you will learn a ton. His lectures are very detailed and organized. He is helpful outside of class and full of wisdom.

I absolutely love taking his class! He has great lectures and when I had questions about my grades he sat down with me and talked me through it. I would 10/10 recommend this instructor.

Rhodes makes the class come to life and does a fantastic job of getting people engaged in class. He truly makes law easy to understand and cares about his students. He also respects your pocket book by not making you buy a textbook and just sending you articles/cases to read. I would take him again in a heart beat if it fits into my schedule.

Rhodes is the cutest man ever and genuinely cares about students learning. His class is hard but he makes his grading criteria very clear and so students are fully aware of what is expected of them to do well. This class is so interesting and he truly is the embodiment of actual learning rather than just memorization.

Dr. Rhodes is the best professor I've had so far in TCU. I would take his class 10 times again if I could. He gives amazing lectures, really funny and is really straight forward when grading. It's a really interesting class and he literally tells you what he wants you to write on the tests. Go to class, pay attention and get an A!

Dr. Rhodes' class is one of my most memorable classes in my undergraduate education. He is incredibly knowledgeable and wants to teach his students how to think critically, not just about law but about life. His class is truly incredible and worth a hit to your GPA.

Rhodes is my favorite teacher I've had at TCU. It was a definitely a hard class but I don't even care that I didn't get an A because I learned so much and he truly wants you to learn and ask for help. Your grade will partially reflect how much effort you put into the class, and he definitely cushions it a lot from your actual test scores. TAKE HIM!

Probably one of the best, if not the best, teachers in the business school. There's a reason he's been teaching at TCU for over 30 years. He loves what he does and his students love him too. Lecture heavy class so prepare to take notes. He cares about each student's success and it shows with the passion and enthusiasm he exhibits during each class

Professor Rhodes doesn't use PowerPoints or textbooks, and it's wonderful. He tells you exactly what you need to know for the tests. He's testing understanding instead of memorization. You still have to participate and do the work to get a great grade, but he's fun, emphatic, to-the-point, and easy to work with.

Very enjoyable class. He is engaging and energetic every class period. No book, but you study cases, which is how a law class should go. He calls on students randomnly and expects them to be ready. If not, points are taken off. Tests aren't easy, but they are open note and first two are group efforts. Got a low A.

Very loud and active professor. Class is interesting and never lasts the full three hours. VERY VERY HARD TESTS!!! I went to every class and took very detailed notes and got a B in the class. But I learned a lot and had a great time in that class.

Energetic and loud. Keeps class interesting with his teaching methods. Lets you bring outlines for the tests. First two are group efforts, last two are individual ones. Always answered emails in a timely manner. Doesn't take attendance, but if you show up, be prepared or he might call on you and take points off for being "unprepared."

Business Law: Genuinely nice person, tended to shout in class due to excitement. Had a definite grading and interactive preference for people who went with him on his Germany trip. I kept a 15 page outline, attended every class, asked frequent questions, got a "B". Set-up an apt. for 5:45 PM on night, he arrived at 6:05 PM and told me to hurry.

Great Professor! Not so sure if I will use this information in the business world. However, I think I am more knowledgable about law from a personal perspective now that I was previously. This professor loves to teach and actually uses our time in each class to the maximum.

Dr. Rhodes is a very engaging, energetic professor. He can get loud when lecturing, but he comes to every class with a positive attitude. You can tell he loves to teach. No textbook! Do your homework, because he will call on you and if you don't know the answer, you will get points off (like a Law school class!) The tests are open note.

Excellent class- I learned so much! Also, Dr. Rhodes will help you with any material you did not understand and he always checks his e-mail. You have to come prepared every day, but you can use one pass day and he will not call on you that whole class.
