Comment:
Extremely knowledgeable about the subject but when it comes to tests it's ridiculous. Study EVERYTHING from the slides, no matter what he says is gonna be on the test. He makes it sound easy but its really not. Too much memorization. Makes you memorize a 6 page vocabulary list which is a joke. Great guy, not the strongest test maker.

My favourite prof :) Easy enough to comprehend and very intelligent (without being condescending!) Love the extra tidbits of background info on literature or whatever else. Very helpful as well. I wish the classes were longer!

I love Dr. Littlewood!! I was terrified when I started 3rd year latin, and I was very nervous about it, but within days I felt very comfortable. He is incredibly knowledgeable, but understands that we are all at different levels, and does his best to help out. Very fair grader, and amazing classes! totally recommend him!

Dr. Littlewood not only knows his stuff inside out and backwards, he knows [nearly] everything else as well, and as long as you don't get too distracted by his desperate need for a haircut, you'll find that his lectures are pure brilliance. If you have any love in your heart for learning, I would wholly recommend a class with him.

I almost decided to drop Latin, but Littlewood's class secured my lasting interest. He tends to assume his students know more than they do, but he will descend to your level in order to pull you up if you make it clear you are still one of the ignoranti. All round best prof I ever had at UVic. Bask in his brilliance.

Wonderful prof--interesting and enjoyable classes. Loved the humour and that he wore black all term except at the final exam. Otherwise, the course has LOTS of memorization and putting that into context. If you're good at memorizing words, it's for you; otherwise, if your grade doesn't matter, take it for the fun!

Yes, he did wear the same thing every day except exam day when he actually wore a colour (red). His class is interesting and easy to do well in if you pay attention and study, if not, it will show in your final mark.

Wears the same thing every day, but he is a great prof. He's very easy-going, and graciously gave me an extension for an assignment when I needed it. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in languages.

Dr. Littlewood is a brilliant man and his knowledge is extensive. This course would have been superb had I studied the Odyssey and the Aeneid prior to taking the course. As it was I was a 'little at sea' the majority of the time. I would recommend the course if you have the background.

Very hot in a strange way, can't decide if it's the accent or the hands, or both. Maybe it's his intelligence. Great prof, never a boring class, always has interesting insight to the literature.

Very laid-back for the most part. Odd sense of humour at times. He's definitely a scholar, and not bad at teaching what he knows. Loved his class, I recommend him for GRS 250. I'll be taking Latin with him next year.

Is a good prof and very nice if you do the work and study. But if you don't care and just fool around then watch out. Very helpful in office hours. Excellent proff but the class is very hard. Lots of memorization but if you work hard you'll do well.

He is one of the most intelligent professor's I've encountered and definitely knows his material. However, he made me feel stupid when I went for help during office hours. Very difficult class, lots to memorize.

Cedric wore a black turtleneck and black jeans and black cowboy boots to every single class, it really weirded me out and distracted me a little. Very intelligent, and taught an interesting class but I was confused most of the time.

Just do the homework, people, and you'll get your A+. He hates it when you come unprepared, but he won't spring any surprises--come on, it's like math, you're either right or you're wrong. And he's cute in a dishevelled way.

His sense of style has a manner of making you quickly comfortable and used to him in a strange way. Difficult to predict his mood - just do the homework. I'd take another class with him. Cute :)
