Comment:
If you are taking GLST with Imogene prepare to have a semester of course work irrelevant to the class and have her opinions and beliefs shoved down your throat. She is extremely rude and dismissive and barely lectures, you are left wondering what you're paying for in terms of getting any knowledge out of the course.

Imogene does not return paper or projects at all. I did not receive one thing back the entire semester. The only grade I got the entire semester was my final one on my transcript. This class had no tests or exams. All that is expected of you is to show up and do group work. There was 2 large group work assignments.

Overall I enjoyed the class; I was always coming home with interesting new info and her assignments are super easy. Her tests have a lot of tricky questions, though. Be aware she likes to make true/false almost completely right but changes one word. Mc is similar. The class average on the first exam was 54%, I think, and the second not much higher.

Imogene is amazing, she really has the personality for teaching. She will answer any question, loves it when students participate, and is the fairest marker. She expects a lot, but gives you every chance to meet those expectations. And she is always available in her office or by email. The most helpful professor in the Anth department by far.

Imogene is an amazing professor. She's extremely knowledgeable, gives great lectures, and demands participation. She also uses online resources very well and is easy to contact. The only drawback is the number of textbooks. This semester we had 4 textbooks for the one class, and I have her again next semester with another 4 textbooks.

Interesting class, very passionate about her knowledge of anthropology. Work and exams are fairly easy, READ the textbook as she pulls questions from there, but also pay very close attention to discussions very exam based. Tells you what she expects, no real surprises!

She uses a lot of books, which is ridiculous. Some of them are easy readings and others are very hard. But she shows a lot of movies during class time. Her exams are ok. she somewhat tells you from which texts she will ask questions, and what the test will look like. She does not answer most questions to students satisfaction.

Easy tests & assignments, but doesn't directly answer questions when asked. She's a little rambly and monotone but very nice. Lots of books.

Imogene is by far the most interesting and informative professor i have ever had. She has been a huge influence in my studies and has even directed me into a new major (of anthropology). I specifically take classes if i know she will be instructing. She makes anything instantly interesting. Go Imogene!!

Wonderful professor. She's one of those profs who actually knows HOW to teach students. She knows how to get the students involved in a discussion, and brings up many interesting topics. She made me even more interested in the subject as the semester went on. Wonderful. I would definitely recommend her.

Every class with Imogene is a treat, lots of reading, but always a chance to excel. She sets up her courses so that everyone has the opportunity to do well at something, be it quizzes, journal writing, presentations or papers. I agree with past comments about her being one of THE most approachable profs at MAL-U, we are lucky to have her.

She was a really nice lady, but she fires up when you make her made. Highly intelligent (actually knows her stuff b/c of field work) Tests are easier than she makes out, but the material gets boring towards the end BONES SUX. New comers be aware of the memorization of ****this and ****that
