She is intelligent and interested in her field of study, but she is extremely monotonous. I could not stay awake because of that. I wish she would be a little more interesting... the course content is so interesting, I think that's how I survived.

One of the best profs I've ever had at SFU! She is passionate about her subject and genuinely interested in what you have to say. She gives clear, well-organized and interesting lectures and reasonable amounts of reading. I'd recommend her any day!

The class was okay and her marking was fair, maybe a bit hard but she's approachable and very willing to help or suggest supplementary materials or films. There are a lot of little details so make sure you pay attention.

Extremely interesting class, you will take lots and lots of notes. Less assignments than other upper division history classes and she is a really easy marker.

Her lectures were extremely interesting and the way she structured them made note taking extremely intuitive. I highly recommend taking a class with her (although be prepared for low midterm marks).

Expect your average history course. The material was fairly easy but the marking was brutal. The marking scheme demanded more out of students than normal, which led to dismal mid-term marks. She wound up scaling up the class, but this is something to keep in mind. When you think you wrote enough, write some more!

The most passionate professor I've ever had! In her lectures, I never stopped writing notes like mad. She even had a way of making otherwise boring material interesting! Any history buff will love her as much as I did.

A great prof. Lectures are sometimes boring but I think it's more because of the content itself rather than the prof. Very approachable and helpful.

She was a great prof although sometimes her voice put me to sleep. I usually stayed awake though, and I learned a lot. Very friendly outside of the lecture hall as well.

She speaks in iambic pentameter. If you don't write notes it puts you to sleep. But if you take notes she's awesome. Her lectures are soooo interesting, especially when she talks about Germany.

I had her 2 years ago and I still think she is amazing. She inspired me to be a history major. If you can, take her. She has the clearest lectures that are so full of information you will be writing like mad! I can't stress enough how great of a prof she is and I'm lucky to have had her.

Wonderful prof who gets really into what she teaches. She doesn't go off topic and is very good at what she does. But her exam was a bit hard

Nadine is so incredibly passionate about history that it comes out in her voice - definitely kept me wide awake in class and writing notes like mad. She answers students' questions clearly and never goes off topic. My only complaint is that we had too much reading and it was sometimes hard to keep up, and my TA was a nightmare. Nadine is beautiful!

Nadine's lectures were awesome! She's very passionate about what she was teaching, even though it's a general "overview" type course. Even though it was a large lecture she allowed questions and answered them with clear and concise answers. Assignments and tests are fair.

Best prof, very interesting to listen to, even if you do not have a high intrest in her topics, told an interesting story of German history and compelled students to be interested, hard marker but if you work hard she will reward you and she gives very helpful advice on papers. I would take a class with her in a second

This prof is the most beautiful historian I have ever met. That alone made the class worth while. But more than that, she made class interesting, and was very clear and concise. If you have an opportunity, definatly take this professor

I rated her clarity as average since this is a seminar class - the students are the one's expected to do the 'teaching', so she is merely a facilitator - though she's a good one. She is helpful, though topics tend to get a bit repetitive - essentially it's three months of talking about the memory of Nazi Germany, nothing else! Above average class.
