Comment:
Kim could not efficiently teach. She often did not know what was going on and had her dog yapping in the background. Also, her TAs mark everything and if its not done the way they want, youll get low marks or fail. I received a low mark in this class when all my other classes had high marks. Would not recommend at all.

If you want a class with a prof who has her TAs mark everything extremely tough without providing feedback for the marks received, then look no further. I do believe that she is respected and knowledgeable in her field, but she does not know how to teach what so ever. Very little direction is given for assignments and notes are impossible to take.

I shake my head to this class. I'm a pretty average student but her class I was entirely below average. Tests, discussion forums, and "lab" assignments make sense until you hand it in and receive a 60% on something you would've got 80%+ on in any other class. Choose your prof wisely, I didn't.

Kim cannot teach at all. She gets lost in her thoughts explaining things or simply will say "I do not know how to explain this to you" and leave it at that. One time I thought my computer was frozen but she was just staring at the screen.7 papers which are marked hard plus quizzes and DF also marked hard. Takes years to mark anything with no feedb

WORST PROF EVER!!! DOES NOT TEACH!!! You read from the text book and do the assignments the way she wants, not the way you want. Always late for starting her lectures. She does not do the marking. The TA's that do the marking do not give feed back to help you for the next time. Save your money or try get Kyle McDonald as a prof.

Approximately 400 pages of reading with little direction from the prof. Some articles used DSM 4, which is outdated and unacceptable in a psychology course. Marking schemes were unclear, although my marking was not absurdly harsh. Paper topics were generally psychology linked, and were not specifically about sport.

The worst part about the class was teaching yourself. She just assigned lengthy chapters to read each week. There were a 6 assignments I think and I never did bad on them. She is also very understanding when I needed an extension.

Didn't actually teach anything, just assigned weekly readings. Also a 2 page essay every week that was graded harshly. Do not take her classes, especially if it is online you'll learn nothing from her.

After reading the reviews, I was a little scared to be in Kim's class. She isn't that bad of an instructor, if you can get past the forums and 6 short papers. One thing I find is Kim gives a short intro and then makes you read all the readings on your own with little support. The TA was not the best either.

For an online course, I thought Kim was a really organized prof. She answered my questions/e-mails RIGHT AWAY (so maybe she changed her teaching style?). The only downside of this course was that we got barely any feedback on assignments and the guidelines were vague. Participation for discussion forums is mandatory but SUPER easy!

You have to write a short paper almost every week. When you get it back, you get vague notes of what you did wrong. Nothing specific so you know for the next one. We got no reviews for the midterm nor the final so we had to find ones from different professors. Do not recommend taking this class

Took this as elective after returning to school as a mature student. Was doing decent in the class until the first midterm, got a poor grade and tried emails, messages and phone to reach the prof with no reply. Emailed the TAs and was told oh thats odd but never recd help or direction. Didnt bother writing the final b/c I understood it wrong

This was the worst class I have ever taken and the prof was no help whatsoever. You are expected to do 6 essays in 6 weeks and you basically can expect to fail all of them because you're not understanding the content in the exact same way she is, even though its still correct. Regret making this one of my electives.

She assigned 6 papers within 6 weeks, and could not have been more vague in her descriptions of what she wanted for each paper. She did not provide original course content. The entire course is reading the textbook and then writing papers. I would avoid taking another class from her at ALL costs.

Very unclear about what she expects for assignments and gives no feedback. Seems she rarely replies to student emails or outreaches for help. The notes consist only of the text readings. If youre considering taking this course as an elective, Id suggest otherwise because youll be constantly stressed on the way she terribly grades.

In a matter of 6 weeks, there are 5 short papers, a large group project that has a large paper (yeah, group project for an online class), 3 discussion forums, a midterm and a final. On top of all of that, no notes are provided and you are simply just assigned textbook chapters. Assignment explanations are not clear. Save your time and money...

This was my first time taking an online class and it was not what I expected. Kim does not give you any sort of outline for the midterm or final so be prepared to do a lot of reading and memorization. She also makes you do group work as well as five essay assignments throughout the year.

Out of my five years in university she has been the WORST prof I have ever had. Cancels class quite often & seems to get lost in what she is saying. She either forgets what she is talking about or quits mid sentence because what she is saying does not make sense. Not helpful at all & not clear with how she wants assignments. Hard tests too.
