Comment:
She was extremely caring. I went through a lot during the term I had her and she was always asking how I was doing and constantly trying to help, and tried to help me with other classes, too. Her lectures are kind of boring because she's not extremely outgoing but she likes to make little jokes. Grading was hard but lots of chances to do well.

Her lectures were boring. She continuously noted her accomplishments throughout the course. Her assignments were easy and she was an easy marker. I am planning to take courses with her in the future and I'll try not to doze off during her lectures.

Very interesting course. Opened up my eyes to issues not only pertaining to women, but of all genders. Professor was a little unclear/all over the place, but overall a good course to take. There is one presentation, one midterm, and a one other small assignment. Would recommend, but beware that you will have to hear many different opinions

Not a terrible Prof as far as lectures, I have had many worse. That being said, she is a very inconsistent marker, opinionated, and focused on some small aspects rather than students forming their own opinions. In a literature class this seems very backward. Hard to reach via email, and not very tech savvy.

Pfft. I got A- to A+ on every paper and I didn't mention feminism. She's just as focused on Canadian identity as women's rights, even though she did plug her own accolades more than once. Don't f*ck up your grammar and she won't give you a bad grade- and if you do, that's what ENGL1000 is for. Overall, her lectures are interesting and stimulating.

Comment:
I found this prof too opinionated and full of herself. Not sensitive to certain issues which is ironic considering that she spend a good while on her feminist ideas and her "accomplishments". She promotoes favoritism and talks too much about her views.

She should let people form their own opinions instead of battering them with hers. Also, admitted - she's an accomplished woman, but it is unnecessary to tell every student about them (multiple times). I loved English before this class, now I dread it.

Not only would she brow beat her feminist views onto others, she expected conformity in answering the meaning of prose and poetry. Don't aske her for help, because she lacks the ability to actually help.
