He seems like a decent guy but he is a terrible teacher. He rambles on and on with seemly no purpose to his lecture at times. He is knowledgeable but is a bad communicator. Also there is a TON of group work.

Paul is a great guy, his lectures can be boring and its easy to let yourself fall asleep but besides that he takes great interest in making sure you understand the material. He is reliable and always willing to put in extra time for those who need it. If you put effort in, you can get a great deal out of his classes.

Online: Challenging, mind bending. I grew from taking this course. I was frustrated with the material. Paul was helpful. He engaged in discussion forums, posted material promptly.Answered emails same day. Very nice guy, I tried hard and received an A in his class.

Paul is a really nice guy, but I am not at all fan of his teaching style. His notes/overheads are really hard to follow, he's kind of all over the place in class. The subject is tough too. He's approachable and not tough, but I am not a fan of his style and won't take his class again. Really nice guy though!! Just not my learning style :D

WOW anyone who thinks this prof is good does not know what they are talking about, he is so hard to understand, he can not gather his thoughts and it takes like 5 or 10 minutes to get out one idea! his lectures are soooo boring and the groupwork is useless it just allows egotistical know-it-alls to hear themselves speak.

The Philosphy of Religion course I took with Paul changed my religious life totally. I rejected Christianity and have been living happily ever after! Great class, worth the money. I'd love to take a phil class w/Paul again.

He was a fairly easy marker as long as you had solid reasoning behind your answers. His lectures could be slightly confusing but that may have been more because of the subject than his teaching style. Overall a nice guy and a pretty good teacher.

steriotypical philosopher, very passionate about his works, has alot to say, but alot of it is hard to understand simply because the topic is generally difficult to comprehend

A great professsor. He's helpful in the extreme, and takes an interest in having his students actually succeed in his classes. His sense of humor is enjoyably quirky, but his logic is very clear and concise. However, he does expect his students to actually read the material, then write comprehensively about them. My favorite prof by far.

He is an easy marker and as long as you show intelligent thought you should do OK. He is very confusing lecturer, however, and it is quite unclear what he expects. I don't think he even knows. He doesn't talk very loud and doesn't do a very good job of getting class attention. He seems like a nice guy, though, and does put out the effort to hel

A good instructor of Philosophy. Goofy sense of humor, easy-going nature, and all around nice guy. If you work hard, you'll do well. Makes the class comfortable for all who attend, unlike Irwin Cohen. Avoid him like the plague, because he's arrogant beyond reason, and thinks that all who take his class should bow in front of him. A total putz.

The notes for each assignment and each class are listed to the letter. With these strict guidelines, Paul expects groundbreaking work and lots of free thought. If he dissagrees with those thoughts you are guaranteed to get a poor mark. Expect to adopt a western monotheistic religion to do well in this class. A nice guy but he lectures to himself.
