Do not take her!!! She never comes to class prepared and literally just writes on a google doc as "notes" for the class. She is never focused and goes off on tangents instead of teaching people what we actually need to know for her tests(which are very difficult). If you cant get out of taking this class with her then good luck.

This class is already hard and Andreasen does not help much. She doesn't have a clear plan going into each class and goes off on a lot of tangents which makes it really hard to know what's going to be on the exams (which are really hard). Only take this class with her if you absolutely need to.

This is for the Social Cognition class. 90% of the grade was made of 3 tests, which puts on a lot of pressure. They were open-note, but timed, and the questions were tough and specific. She assigns a lot of scientific articles to read and helps you understand them through the lectures. She cares about the well-being of her students and is friendly

I really enjoyed the class and loved Dr. Andreasen. I would honestly just take the class for her. She's a lot of fun, caring, and helpful (the type of prof everyone should have at some point). She also keeps the material interesting and I left actually knowing the material. Make sure you go to class, participate, and take notes and you'll be fine.

I really enjoyed this class and the material, but I will say that her exams are pretty hard. You have to work really hard for an A. People did really poorly on the first exam, so she curved it and began giving out extremely helpful but extensive study guides that directly correlated with the exams. She is also super sweet and caring.

AMAZING PROFESSOR. She is so engaging in her lectures. She curves her exams, they are free response but if you go to review sessions and study they're manageable. She's one of the best professors I've had and she's a professor I wouldn't mind talking to outside of class. Always offers help ad updates syllabus to keep it up to date with readings

Don't take the honors section of this class. There are only 2 tests and a paper. It is incredibly difficult. Dr. A is confusing and jittery and jumps all over the place. I never knew what was going on in class. She goes off on tangents a lot and it's hard to know what is and isn't important. The tests were hard. Don't take this unless you have to!

Honestly the best professor I have ever had. She is engaging and interesting. She does go on tangents about his children, but it keeps the class interesting. If you go to her for help she is extremely helpful and sweet. She is obviously very smart and I feel so lucky to have had her. Study all your notes and ask questions and you'll do great

Fantastic professor!!!! Best professor I have had at the university so far. She is very enthusiastic about the material which helps student find an interest in the subject matter. The tests are not difficult, they are mostly reiteration of material from the readings/notes with a little application. Overall a great course with an awesome professor!!

Absolutely adore her, best prof I've had so far. She is very passionate and excited about the work she does, and that's always refreshing. Her attitude inspires students to take an interest in the material and ask questions. Her tests are not easy, but if you attend class regularly, pay attention, and take good notes you should be just fine.

She is a nice person, but so scatterbrained it's very difficult to follow most of her lectures. Don't bother reading the text book the tests are all memorization of specific words from the notes. really hit or miss, requires more effort than other introductory classes.

A good professor, but a little crazy. Makes herself laugh but she is funny in a quirky way. Great professor, but the class isn't that easy and it's difficult to get into.

She's a great professor, but this is not an easy class. If you want an easy breath requirement, don't take this one. If you need it for the cog sci major/minor, it is an extremely interesting class. Exams are basically all lecture-based and they are all blue-book. You'll need the textbook for homework assignments - about 8 for the semester.

Dr. Andreasen is the quirkiest professor I have ever had, but she is a very good lecturer, she's clear and she understands students very well. Attendance is not mandatory, but don't expect to do well if you don't go to class. The exams come straight from the lectures and homework, no surprises. I do recommend.

Prof. A. is really perky but also kind of ridiculous. The tests were the whole grade and they were the most random questions. I don't even know what the point of this class was, but it wasn't much work - just show up and take detailed notes.

Professor Andreason is so nice! She's a bit quirky, so if you don't like goofy professors you might not like her. She is very enthusiastic and interested in the material she teaches and is more than willing to go over info until everyone understands. The tests are pretty general, not hard if you study. Not much homework either. fairly easy A

She is one of my favorit professors. She makes the topic interesting and is very excited to teach. She takes time to answer questions and is very kind. Your notes might get a little sloppy, and the tests are pretty straight forward.
