Comment:
To start off, Curt hands down one of the best profs at SFU. The 4 Brief notes in this class is okay. Participation is worth 40% so you have to talk and show up. There are a lot of guest speakers, and it is okay to challenge the guest speakers in this class, even though some may have a narrow mindset. Curt is all about discussion so dont be afraid.

Curt Griffiths is the best Professor in the SFU Criminology Department by far. Great guy that genuinely cares for the well-being of his students and wants them to excel. He's handled the COVID-19 scare during this semester professionally and compassionately. Thanks Prof Griffiths!

THE BEST PROF AT SFU HANDS DOWN! I have never met a professor so caring for his students in my entire life. This class is fun, interactive and interesting. The guest speakers were amazing and the briefing notes were a good overview for what you are learning. Overall he is amazing and I cannot stress that enough! Every prof needs to be like him!

Curt is hands down the best professor at SFU. I'm sad I didn't take his classes earlier on in my degree. He is a fair marker for briefing notes (which are worth 60% of your grade). He genuinely cares for his students.

I have just began taking the class with Dr. Griffith and I must say that I am really impressed. His style of teaching is definitely different from all the other professors; lots of involvement, guest speakers, fieldtrips. This is not an average crim class and Dr. Griffith is super intelligent and very very interesting to listen to. Recommend :)

Curt is the best prof I've ever had. Participation in class was worth 40 percent and 4 short writing assignments were worth 15 percent each. As long as you put in effort to participate in class and read what he tells you to for the writing components, you're golden.

Griffiths is passionate about his work. Even whilst taking an online course, you can see how much effort he puts in to educate students. If you take this course online, just make sure you answer the study questions per unit and you will do fine.

Amazing professor who has in-depth knowledge of the criminal justice system. Knows his stuff, focuses on the application and implementation within the criminal justice system instead of theories. Hands down best crim prof at SFU, would recommend 10/10, you will not be disappointed.

CRIM 410 was an awesome class, but only if you are willing to participate in class discussions on a weekly basis. His class is structured very differently than most, but I found it was an enjoyable learning experience. I would def take this course again!

Pretty good course. Three papers (2,000 - 2,500 words each) with very clear criteria. Final exam was 40 MC and 10 SA questions based on the study questions. You were given 20 SA questions and only had to answer 10. The audio lectures were quite interesting as well.

Such a funny guy. Super friendly. Brought in a ton of guest speakers from different sectors of the CJS. You will be lucky if you get in this class. His briefing notes were marked a bit tough IMO, but still easy to do. Take this course you won't regret it.

The guy knows what he's talking about, he wrote the book after all...however, seemed like his lectures involved more ranting with brief reviews of the material, his TA did more actual teaching. I learned alot more during tutorial's, highly recommend attending those besides the fact that they're mandatory

Curt is awesome, definitely an expert when it comes to policing and one of the best in the CRIM department. CRIM 455 consists of a number of briefing papers (summary of readings) almost each week, participation, and a final journal. Not a difficult class and I looked forward to attending each week. 4 classes were at VPD and weekly guest speakers.
