Good teacher, cares about his students. This subject may be the most boring one I've ever had to listen to but he tries to teach it well. His tests are extremely hard but they aren't worth that much of your total grade so you should be alright. One research project that you have the whole semester to do.

Professor Burlingame is great. Does his best to keep class interesting. The work can get extensive, but he pays attention to the students who put in the extra effort. If you go to class and do what's expected you'll get an A

do not have to go to class because he puts all the power points online but if attendance gets low for the "student project" portion of class he will have short quizzes for easy points. The 2 tests are exactly what is on the study guide &very simple. Make sure you pa y attention to what he writes on the 1st draft of the paper&change it for the final

Great prof and person. The class was very interesting and I genuinely learned a lot. He wants us to get the most out of the class. He isn't clear on any rubrics at all, which doesn't work for some people but allows more freedom an creativity. He is willing to help with everything if you take the time to prepare and are interested.

HORRIBLE teacher. if you are a girl in the class you will do just fine. two people cheated on the first exam had the same exact test the girl got 50/50 the guy 36/50. his grading is all over the place. all he does is talk and the work assigned has nothing to do with the class. take someone else if you can

I learned so much in this class. He teaches from a sociological point of view and it frames cj issues in a totally different light. Lots of work, but he is very generous in grading. Just a nice guy all around!

I have taken Prof. Burlingame for three classes and he still doesn't know my name. His classes get easier the higher up they are. Nice guy, pretty understanding of personal situations. I would recommend him on classes higher than the 200's.

Prof grades fairly easy on all the assignments There are no actual tests so the classes are not actually mandatory (only when there is a group assignment which is about every other class b/c they are worth 5 points) I got an A and even missed one group assignment Great Prof!

Not easy to communicate with, tests are full of little facts from the book that no one can remember. Does not give any information on what he wants done, and what he does give is very contradictory. Can only miss 25 out of 500 points for an A.

The course content was not at all interesting, but he tries to teach it if it was. The online quizzes can be tricky because they are timed, but the tests are m/c and if you study you'll do fine. The research project entails a lot of work, but if you work hard at it you will to fine.

Well...not that bad, but the tests are horrible. Can only miss 10 points out of 300 to get an A. Besides the exams you can get 100% but still end up with a B or lower because of the low points and the exams SUCK

Very good professor who is willing to help and give valuable input when you need it. He is straight up and honest with you, he doesn't sugercoat what he is trying tell you. If your research paper sucks, he will tell you, but at the same time will help you make it better. I recommend this prof, just be prepared to do the work

Has class was rather easy. Two of three exams were take home. Only one paper which you have the entire semister to write and one presentation which he grades very easily, most earned full credit. You are required to read the book because there are online quizes for each chapter, although rather easy. I would recommend taking this class.

Nice guy, energetic. His tests are horribly written, ambiguous to the point that there appears to be more than one answer to all his multiple choice questions. This causes most to do poorly. Class averages on the three tests were C+, C-, and D-! Study hard and listen very carefully, hopefully you can escape with a decent grade. Not recommended.

I loved this class! He is clear on what you need to know and if u can go to class and listen then u will do just fine. he posted most of the notes and 2 out of the 3 test you take are take home and u can use your book and notes, if u put exactly what he put on the notes for your answer u will get an A. Take him you will love this class.

THIS PROFESSOR IS HORRIBLE! DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR!! His tests are sooo hard hard that it doesn't matter if you study or not. Plus, he's an a**! It seems as if he thinks that everyone should know everything. He also makes people feel stupid and drags things way to far. Don't take this class with him!
