Comment:
TBH Prof. Eidson is one of the nicest guys. The issue with him is that he is impossible to contact. Never responded to multiple emails I sent through the semester. Quizzes exactly like the HW. Lecture isn't necessary because he reads right off the slides. Many examples in slides and an easy A if you submit everything. Easy class would recommend.

Love Dr. E! He's such a great guy. No readings!! Almost no outside work other than a few one-page writing assignments and studying for the exams. Exams were all open note. I thought cognition would be hard, but it was super chill and interesting. (His name is Robert on the official registration for anyone confused.)

Cognition with Dr. E was a very interesting course! Lectures were very informative, and required little outside learning. Textbook is not required, but I found it helpful. Also tests are open note! There aren't many assignments, just two writing assignments per unit and only 5/8 are required. Overall, I'd recommend that anyone takes Cognition!

Really entertaining classes; he always tries to keep his students engaged. Homework assignments were manageable and actually contribute to your overall grade. Exams were a little difficult, but if you take good notes in class, you will be fine. No need to teach yourself via textbook. He's a great professor and I wish more were like him!

I genuinely can not recommend Professor Eidson enough: he is easily the best professor I've had. He's caring, kind and more than willing to help students at all times. His lectures are interesting and convey a lot of information in a thoughtful way. He also offers many ways to boost your grade, but does not overload you with work. 100% recommend!

Dr Eidson is amazing. He is kind, calm, and very approachable, gives great feedback and makes class discussions really interesting and funny. In 4612 you watch a bunch of movies and analyse them (amazing for a film buff, good fun for others) can't rage about Dr E enough, a really great prof (plus fair grader) HIGHLY RECCOMEND

Prof Eidson was a fantastic professor; one of the best I've had at NEU. He's caring and approachable and really wants all of his students to succeed in his class while also giving us skills we can use in research beyond his class.

If you like podcasts, you'll like this professor. Prof. Eidson seems to have adopted the speaking mannerisms of someone delivering a podcast. The downside is that he often overexplains simple concepts, which draws out the class.

prof Eidson is an alright professor, he makes the material easy and honestly does care about his students, he's just the slowest grader I've ever had. he even has TA that grades quizzes for him, but we get those grades back like a month after we've actually taken the quiz. That's the only frustrating thing about him , otherwise he'd get 5*.

One homework packet due before each test. Tests are exactly like the homework. You have to do Data Sets on SPSS and Excel which are a pain, but he grades them easily. Nice teacher. Lectures have plenty of examples.

Talks in circles. A lecture that could take 20 minutes takes 2 hrs bc he drags everything out. Promises that assignments/grades/study guides would be posted by a certain day and then didn't post until 3+ days later. His exams are mostly multiple choice with one open response at the end. Very nit picky and takes of points off for irrelevant stuff.

Dr. Eidson was a great professor for Developmental Psych this semester. Only 4 exams, 6 writing assignments, and no final which was super nice. He is always willing to help you and is very accommodating, just be sure to let him know if you have to miss class for any reason and he'll be understanding.

He's a really nice guy who just wants his students to succeed. He was the most accommodating professor I've had in terms of open office hours or scheduling things around my schedule. He made sure we really understood statistics rather than just memorizing the computations, which I appreciated.

This Professor really knows his stuff. I thought this class would be difficult but his teachings are interesting. Class style is mostly lecture but you can learn a lot. He is fair and respects his students on an individual basis. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing to take Cognition for their PSYC major or minor.

Comment:
Dr. Eidson is a young professor who cares about his students. He is intelligent, but not uptight. He tries hard to make class interesting and gives detailed feedback on lab report drafts. I didn't like how he always returned them a few days to a week later than he said he would though- he should either make realistic claims or not make them at all.
