Class is going to kick your ass but is overall a good experience. Although he can be a bit weird at times hes a charming and overall understanding guy. If you can get through all the work you will be glad you took the class at the end.

This professor. well let's just say he teaches for the money. Show up and pass. Take notes, study them for exams and you'll do fine. However, as far as a professor goes, I would rather eat dirt then ever hear this professor lecture ever again. He made students cry. I'll leave it at that.

Attendance is not mandatory but there is a paper due each week on material learned in class. If the paper is missing any content from the week it is an automatic one-point drop out of two possible points. There are only 100 points in the grade book. He makes the class unnecessarily hard, but as long as you put in the effort you should be fine.

He lectures each class and at the end of the week a paper is due on what was talked about. These 12 papers are 1/4th of your grade - as well as three 25 question tests. If you miss one question or format a paper wrong you will lose points. The papers are only worth 2 points each. He is rude when you address him and put away your phone.

class is only out of 100 points. 10 papers worth 2-3 points each, each covering what happened in the previous 2-3 classes. miss something, lose a point off the whole paper. always has to be right. hates phones to the point where i took off my apple watch and zipped it up in my backpack along with my phone. three exams, very difficult

He knows lots about philosiphy, forces you you think from different points of view which is super cool. However, hes rude to students inside & outside of class. He thinks we know nothing. But you will learn a lot from him if you show up to class!! I would take another class of his. HATES CELL PHONES, DONT PULL THEM OUT!!! Keep track of your points

I've gotten 3 As in 3 of his classes. It's really not that hard. Record his lectures to go back and listen to and take very detailed notes you will be fine. The classes are typically a total of 100 points. People slack on doing the papers that are worth 2 points each. If you miss all the papers you'll drop down to 76 points and have a C.

Unclear and unsophisticated. You HAD to be in class to get the notes to study off of and write a paper every week on it. If you ask a question in this class he will be sarcastic or laugh at it. The study guide was basically ALL of your notes and there is quite a lot. The tests are VERY complex and hard to understand what is being asked.

If you're the type of student who just wants to pass you classes and you really don't care if you learn anything, don't take this class. If you like to learn and are willing to put effort into your college experience, this class is a piece of cake. Just go to class and take good notes and study well for the exams and you shouldn't have a problem.

If you bring food, bring enough for the rest of class, just to surprise him. The tests require thought, unlike any other I've taken at this campus. It's fun, but difficult. Watch some Thomas Frank test-taking strategies before taking one of this guy's classes. He's serious about what he says. Sometimes goes on tangents that last for 20+ mins.

Some may like this class, but personally his teaching style was not for me. His lectures are all over the place, and it's very difficult to understand what he is trying to say. Papers are due every single week, which are only worth two points each. Exams are very difficult. Very hard class to pass.

If Philosophy isn't your thing, find another subject to take. He's only an effective professor, if you & he have similar values. He can be condescending and his views can be challenged to no avail. If you 2 have different viewpoints, you may be prone to skip classes but then you'll fail the class because you'll have no notes.

There is a paper due every Friday on the material you covered the week before, the papers are not hard if you go to class but it still sucks that they are only worth 2 points. You can not be on your phone in class, if he catches you he calls you out in front of everyone. Class is not mandatory but if you don't go there is no other way to get notes.

He's a really great professor and I really enjoyed taking his class. He's not bias on any of the subject matters in the class and he really is clear about the grading process and how he grades things. Overall I really enjoyed taking this class and I would take it again. :)

All the class consisted of was 1 1/2 hour lectures, a two point paper due every week, and three 30 point test - final grade was out of 100 points. If you are not a good test taker STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROF. The test can be very difficult and it will mess with your mind. Prof Curnutt is a good professor but he can be very rude and make you feel dumb.

I enjoyed his lectures, but not his exams. He has a very crude sense of humor that is so bad I couldn't help but laugh out of embarrassment. As long as you turn in all your papers and work through the study guides he gives before tests, you should be fine! :)

He knows what he is talking about, but there is a paper due every friday on the lectures/notes in class that week. Has 3 exams the whole semester and they are hard! He is very strict and will embarrass you in front of the class if you bring food, your phone, or a laptop. He tries to be funny... but sometimes gets off topic.

Interesting topics! Have an open mind. 100 points total. Don't skip class, or miss a paper, the papers you turn in every week are a summary of your lecture notes. Don't text, eat, or sleep, he will publicly embarrass you! He gives study guides but the tests are wordy and confusing, don't second guess yourself!

This class is based out of just 100 points. There is a weekly paper due that you basically just type your notes up for. Not a hard class but the tests can be hard because the questions are worded weird just because it's a philosophy class. This is required for nursing students and this is the only prof. Great teacher just not such a great class.
