Great professor but he makes you work for your grade. You have to earn your grade and prepare before exams in library.

Honestly, people complaining about the lectures, exams, and readings don't get it. This is a college level class. If you don't put in the work (even when he offers extra credit, study guides, and lets students make up tests) don't expect an A! He is by far one of the best professors I've ever had and he genuinely cares about students & film.

He gives out a ton of printed assignments that are handwritten Xerox's. They were of poor quality & very hard to read in addition to hand drawn examples that were mediocre at best. They were also included in tests, some of which looked as a bottle of ink was splattered on the paper & xeroxed anyway. Lectures weren't too bad. Take lots of notes.

good teacher clearly knows his stuff just doesn't connect very well with the class. I hated the silence when he lectured and how he didn't really let people discuss more openly about a film we watched. He does have a lot of material to cover and not much time to dwell however so I get it. Just was slightly disappointed. Do the hw and you'll b fine

I am really glad I had the opportunity to take a class from this professor. He tricked me into studying with his library methods. It has paid off in other classes since so here's to old school trickery. Offers extra credit. Lots of videos, really need to pay attention. Listen to what he tells you. He does exactly what he says he's going to do.

Daccurso is a hilarious prof. He shows a bunch of short clips that have to do with the lecture that same day. Had about 4 exams & an essay you had to write if you wanted an A in his class. He gives you a "cheat sheet" to help you on the test. The exams are EASY if you read and get good notes. No projects or group work, simple discussions. TAKE HIM!

Extremely knowledgable in his subject. Took him for 105 honors and got an A, prepare to study long and hard for his exams but they are NOT IMPOSSIBLE. Just time consuming and you need to pay attention to detail, but the information and the objective is all there to absorb, not a gamble, very rewarding and put in the time the A is yours.

If I could, I would only take his classes for the rest of my life. Took 105H passed with an A, took 107 passed with an A. It is impossible not to pass his tests, and if you study, tests should take no more than 20 minutes. He is very intelligent and caring. You will never get bored and most importantly he grades very fairly. Definitely recommended

He usually gets off topic. Handouts are mostly useless though some get tested. He tells you exactly what he expects so its not impossible to get an A. Manage your time wisely! Tests are in the library, and are based on the book, but the answers take a lot of time to figure out. Extra credit will help you a lot. If you dont study, then dont take it.

Must read book. Must use study guides daily to pass. Study guides available and are only allowed to be used in the library. Exams: 4 (100-200 questions each) All Film Titles, pictures, and caption info from book must be memorized for Visual Exams. Exams given last 30 min of class if youre lucky. 10-20 min is usual for exams. Godspeed.

He gives 10-30 minutes for 100-200 question test, NOT exaggerating. He gives you the resources to study for his unit tests but not the right amt of time to take his unit tests! His tests are very stressful & unfair. Since they are the only grades for the course, you've gotta do amazing in those 10 to 30 min.

This has been the worst class I've taken. Tests have been constantly postponed (while study materials were taken away from us). He teaches nothing in lecture until the day of the test, when he finally seems to realize that he hasn't actually covered any material and throws it at us at the very last minute. Also makes offensive comments as "jokes".

This professor was so awful I almost took a semester off to enjoy school again. Sets students up to fail. Took my issues to the Dean even. Tests are started sometimes 15 minutes before classes were to end. Tests are hard and long. Was all over the place.

Class is super boring. All you do is watch documentaries and he lectures in between. Each exam has 2 parts, the written part is super easy if you've read the textbook (mandatory) and the 2nd part is super complicated. He always keeps you late after class and gives you lots of reading to do.
