Comment:
Professor Chambers is amazing and makes this course pretty easy. She doesn't require buying the textbook, and it really isn't needed as she goes over everything in her lectures. I would recommend going to class as she clearly explains everything, but lectures are online. I really appreciated this course and would highly recommend this professor.

Jean means well, but her lectures are extremely boring and she gets off topic easily. Her lectures are hard to follow most of the time. You must read the textbook if you want a good grade. Graded on tests only. Avoid her if you can.

She's nice but her way of teaching is not helpful at all. There's 3 test and a final, on the test you are allowed to make corrections on the essay. But you only get 10 points back and you're not guaranteed those points back. She get's easily off track and talks about unnecessary things. She's boring and her notes are awful.

She's really nice. She just reads the her notes the whole class time. There are 4 tests that consist of m/c and an essay and they're based on the notes (that's what your whole grade is based off). She takes away 15 points for grammar on the essay but she allows corrections for you to get back those points. The final is cumulative and it's all m/c.

Makes herself available outside of class, but the class itself isnt interesting and her grading isnt clear. Just reads off her lecture notes and grade is based on only 4 test.

Your entire grade is based off of 4 tests you take, although she does let you do some corrections. She is a sweet and caring lady but the content of the class is just boring by nature. As long as you're a good writer and either pay attention or read the text you will do well in this class.

Jean is an amazing professor. She loves to get questions or comments during her lectures to focus the discussions on what the class actual cares about. There only 4 tests 25% each, 20 MC and an essay. She is a stickler for grammar and spelling but lets you correct your papers to get those points back. Any chance you can, take a class with Jean.

"Notes" are copied from a book. Goes off on tangents that have nothing to do with the lecture. Assumes you will teach yourself from the textbook so the lectures are irrelevant. Not accepting of student's input or opinions. Worst professor I have ever had.

She is a very nice lady but I honestly could have fallen asleep in every class. We only take 4 tests and have no homework which is awesome but paying attention is very hard. It was 100% the most boring class I have ever taken.

Jean is a nice lady, but not a great professor. She is annoying and likes to talk about how she is a Feminist. It seemed like an interesting course when I registered for it, but I hated it. She is boring, and has no method to her teaching. She goes off on random topics for half an hour. Would not recommend if you want to learn something

She is a great lady but the material is so boring. I got high 90's on two tests then 80's on the last two and got a B+. Tough grader sometimes. Very boring class. Take it with someone else. There are 4 tests that's it

Chambers is a sweet lady, but her teaching style is more suited for intro PHL classes. Her notes are bland, she gets off topic very easily, and is difficult to debate with due to personal bias. Her tests are structured like one you'd take in middle school. This class had great potential, but don't be disappointed when you get an intro-level course.

Chambers is a great lady. I hate philosophy but enjoyed her class. Our grade was based off of 4 tests, each being 25%. There is no homework and class isn't mandatory. Tests are 15 multiple choice and an essay, which she grades pretty easily. The last test 75 multiple choice & is cumulative but consists mostly of questions from the first 3 tests.

I have never taken a philosophy class until this one but I absolutely loved it. I honestly never had time to study but I payed attention in class (a little boring sometimes though) and that made for an A. Prof Chambers is a sweetheart and I would love to take another class with her.

Its hard to keep track of her stories because they keep jumping around. Best way to pass is to be up to date with the readings. Some questions may be confusing though.

Professor Chambers is good for a philosophy professor. Her lectures are long and sometimes boring. If you copy the notes, and read some of the chapter, it is not that bad. Also, her exams have 15 multiple choice and an essay. She gives a few extra credit things and allows corrections on essays.

Professor Chambers is awesome. Basically do the readings and you're golden. She gives three exams which is just part multiple choice and an essay that she'll let you correct for full credit. She helps you focus your 10 page paper if you need it, and helps you become a better writer. Take this class you won't regret it.
