Comment:
No tentative term schedule then three weeks before the term is over he realizes HE fell behind and makes it our fault. Feedback is passive aggressive and inappropriate or unspecific. Despite giving him specific ways in which to improve the class, he made no attempt at doing anything differently. Honestly, take physics at Oregon State if you can.

By far the worst professor I have ever had. Forced to learn from the book on your own. Lectures aren't helpful. Didn't post lectures or assignments until Sat or Sun of the week, and it's due Mon/Tues. Week 9 of the term rn, only 3 graded assignments and has yet to tell us when our final is going to be. Doesn't care at all about student's success.

Makes the already difficult subject way harder than it needs to be, and he would always make me feel stupid for not understanding something. I got too scared to ask questions by the end because I was tired of him making me feel like an idiot.

Even if you have A's and B's in chemistry, if you fail his physics class then you might as well change you major from chemistry to something else.. is what proff said. You won't cut it to be a chem major if you fail. Physics is the easiest discipline of the sciences. WRONG.

He doesn't seems to have a clear lecture plan (no slides or anything) He seems to just wing it. You won't know where your grade is until final grades are uploaded. He will likely curve your grades. That doesn't help much because the exam averages are typically low. Get ready to TEACH YOURSELF physics because he doesn't help.

Lots of comments on here talking about how tough the class is the class is hard but not ridiculous. However, this "professor" is the most unhelpful belittling guy. Very disrespectful if you ask a question he wont listen to what you are saying just assumes he understands and the calls you out for being dumb. WOU just take a look into this.

It's been ten years, and I still think of the negative comments he made to physics class- that we would all end up flipping burgers. Not all students have a supportive family while they work hard to go college. Teachers must be aware of how their words affect their student. You can be tough without being demeaning.

Tests are hard, but it isn't that difficult to get at least a B in the class.Go to all the labs (easy),attempt all the online homework (which can be time consuming),get help on the questions you can't solve (he's always in the lab). Even if you get high 60's to low 70's on the exams, the other work will bring your grade up to B.I'm surviving physics!

He was not very helpful when I came to his office hours and asked a question. He would simply look at my online homework scores and say "well you didn't do this so I wouldn't expect you to get it". I spent hours on my homework and never understood it and he never answered my questions. I wouldn't recommend taking his class

Completely ruined ANY interest I may have had in Physics. This man is a horrible teacher! He is more interested in research and should concentrate on THAT rather than teaching. Ridiculous that he is the ONLY choice for a Physics teacher at Western-they need to pull their heads out of their asses and get someone who can TEACH!

Hard class but i think he is a great teacher. Willing to help you out and I thought he did a good job explaining things as well. Though i had him for astronomy (still has physics in it, about 1/2 the class) i am taking physics 201 in the fall and am not looking forward to the C i will probably get.

In 15 years of school, Ive never had a worse teacher. When honor students, and 50+% of the class gets C,D,& F, and he takes no responsibility, that equals a horrible professor. He belittles you when you ask questions, and never misses an opportunity to make you feel stupid! And he's not at all funny

I took GS 351 and PH 201 they were both good classes, he is very good at explaining things so that everyone can understand. He has a very wierd sense of humor, not everyone will get it. If you are confidant you won't feel stupid.

This was a very fun class. The professor is very demanding and the course work can be difficult at time. He is very helpful. Everyone that is crying about him is just looking for someone else to blame for their low grades in the class. College is hard
