Comment:
The teacher is knowledgeable, but the classes are a very poor quality. Perez expresses openly that she is untouchable because she has been with CCSF (a rotten to the core institution) for over 30 years. She is mostly pleased when students bring her food! If you want to pass this class you need to cram on your own. She clarifies text material well.

You need to read the textbook. Her tests and lectures are based on the book. It was hard to understand her lectures at times. She welcomes questions during and after class and has study sessions before exams. It is hard to get a hold of her after class because she quickly leaves. Her tests are worded differently than the book and her lecture.

Her lectures are a bit confusing. She could improve on making her explanations more clear. It's important to read the book for this class because she uses it in class. Her tests are hard.

Comment:
She's entertaining, that's for sure! I wish she'd hold more meaningful discussions (since the material is so dense) and was more available for her students re: office hours. Hospitality students have zero time, and I feel like that wasn't taken into account. Read the book, make flashcards and you'll get a B. Not the worst prof, but could be better.

she's a good teacher, though she's tough. U have to read the book and learn all the definitions. Work hard on the class and u'll be ok. The teacher is fun, i like her

She is the worst teacher I have ever encountered, a disgrace to the profession. She is late to class, leaves early, does not cover the material in any depth, is incapable of meaningful discussion. Please do yourself a favor and steer clear of this incompetent, belligerent woman who could care less about teaching.

She is an awesome person. Her tests are clear and understandable. All you have to do is take notes and you'll get an A. She was very easy to talk to. She was the best teacher of my semester.

I agree with the other comments. She is the laziest teacher. She can't even get out of her chair to clarify things on the blackboard. She makes it so there really isn't a reason to go to class. She just reads passages & passages of the text & doesn't explain things well at all. Very frustrating

Comment:
This instructor is very controlling, domineering, and seems as though it's something she enjoys doing. She has mood swings that makes you think she's nice one day and from hell another day. Her explaination of the subject material is unclear.
