Not a hard class. Homework assignments were easy, busy work that helped with the concepts per chapter. Lots of Revel assignments, time consuming but good to read the chapters because the exams (not proctored) are basically questions from the book. You can pass just do the work. She did not have many personal lectures online, read book to learn.

She is absolutely amazing She frequently showed us videos and made us do short quizzes in class which helped us understand the concepts better. And the main purpose of her assignments was to help us learn and she wasn't harsh. And she would always remind us when something was due. She was always willing to help.

She is an easy online professor to work with. The textbook is needed for most discussion posts but not hard to read and naviagte. Does not assign many assignments so she expects your best work when she assigns something.

Took PSYC 2301 honors , and out of my 2 yrs at Collin it's hands down the best class I've taken. It's the type of class that feels like 15 min even though it's more than an hour, and that's because Professor Brooks genuinely loves (and KNOWS) what she teaches. She'll go above and beyond to help you reach your goals and help you in every way she can

Was class setting then transitioned to online because of Covid. Had tons of assignments (weekly) + online mastering. Says her ppts are good study materials but most info for tests are from the textbook. Had her for 2301 and prefer her teaching that class.

I enjoyed this class for the most part. Online reading and quizzes are essential to passing, also there were a decent amount of topics that were not at all discussed in class. My one problem with her was I did extra credit but for whatever reason my grade went down, which happened quite a bit so make sure to pay attention when she puts in grades.

Class consists of 4 exams and a cumulative final. Online homework is simply graded by participation. Lectures are super thorough, very detailed, and she uploads them to Canvas. However, she does not provide exam reviews. She loves her jobs and wants her students to succeed. Highly recommend, and would love to take her again!

she's really passionate about teaching psychology. she knows her stuff. She takes the time to explain if you do not get the lesson. she goes over in her lectures what you need to know for her MC exams. I'm taking her for my next PSYC class, too!

One of the best professors I have ever taken. I say she is a "mom" of a professor because she is super sweet and actually wants you to succeed. Gives multiple extra credit opportunities and is available outside of class to help you and won't judge you if you don't understand something. HIGHLY Recommended if you need to take a psych class!!

Brooks was an amazing professor and was always willing to help. If you pay attention to her lecture powerpoint then you should do fine on the exams. She hands-out many papers that are helpful to the tests. Didn't really have any quizzes but just make sure to study. Great professor!!!

Professor Brooks is passionate about what she teaches and will help you better understand any questions you have. It was a little stressful because of the project we were working on throughout the semester, but it definitely paid off! She posts all of her notes online, and during class she told us what we needed to know for the test.

I really like Ms. Brooks. She is very knowledgeable about Psychology and can really help you if you have any questions. Most grades come from lab, which is just completing some worksheets, and you have to complete the online Homework (REVEL). Tests are kinda hard, but if you do your homework and study, I'm pretty sure you'll pass.

Nice teacher, although somewhat obnoxious at times. Make sure to go to class or you'll be lost. Main issue is the final. She did not go over any material in class, did not post any sort of review, and you don't get your tests back. For a cumulative final, you'd think she'd give some sort of a review so I'm not lost on what to study.

Highly recommend her online classes for PSYC 1300. She is very clear about what she expects for assignments and grades quite easily. There are very few assignments and the majority of notes aren't necessary. The course is common sense and your own opinion. Quizlet helps with test. She is an easy grader, gives great feedback and responds quickly.

I took professor Brooks for Life Span Psychology and she was amazing! The class was always full. She was so easy to relate to and she brought in guest speakers quite a bit. She helped me outside of class with my major in psychology. If I had not transferred to SMU, I would be taking her classes this semester! She is a MUST TAKE professor!

Very unclear in her assignments. Talks in lecture instead of lecturing material. Her stories arent on the test so its a waste of time. She missed lecture and used a different Life Development Professor and saw the crystal clear difference in their style. And saw I picked the wrong professor. Fake nice. Lost my assignment. And took off points 4 it.

Professor Brooks is was my first college teacher and she was great, very caring and made criteria easier to remember through physical demonstrations and interesting videos, grading setup is made really well and makes it easier to understand homework. GREAT TEACHER HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Professor Brooks is so much more than an average professor. She will gladly meet you outside of class or office hour times. She works with you to help you learn or recap on what you need. She makes the class very fun and interactive with games and activities. If you have to take Psych take it with Jennifer O'Loughlin-Brooks!
