He didn't show up for about half of his own classes. When he was actually here, he had decent lectures and he was an interesting person, but the absences made it very difficult to get a good grade, especially since a good chunk of the tests were based on the nonexistent lectures.

He's the coolest dude I've ever met. Really funny and an awesome lecturer. His only fault is that this is a core class and he makes you work to get an A. If you want an easy A, take Iliev. If you want to be entertained, take Berry. It is an absolute MUST to attend class.

He is very knowledgeable about the subject but he is not a very good teacher. He does not have SI sections with his class. He also does not have visual aid during the lecture. Each of His tests is composed of half reading (roughly 160 pages of text) and half lecture material. If you don't read or are not into politics, don't take him.

Great professor and speaker. Attendance is mandatory and so is the reading - do these 2 and you'll do great. I learned a lot in his class! definitely worth your time and $$ especially if you're interested in politics. Take him

Pretty confusing teacher who goes on tangents.... all the time. But if you do the readings and go to class you'll get an attendance boost and get an A for sure.

This is a very anal professor. He doesn't let you use electronics. If he catches you on your phone he drops you a letter grade. He only gives tests, and they're multiple choice where every answer looks correct. The book didn't help at all. He's very pretentious and expects for you to remember his every last word for the test.

Brian berry is not only an awesome professor, but an awesome speaker. I had him my freshman year, two semesters in a row, in 2 different Politics classes. And he broke down Political science better than ANY of my previous teachers had explained ANY subject. TAKE HIS CLASS to learn Politics and public speaking! [PS: Don't text!, read the book!]

I had Berry for both Political Theory and American Federalism. the classes were easy, so long as you read - and you must read. Random quizzes ensured you read. It's labor intensive in regard to your reading, so if you're illiterate, I would avoid him. We only had 3 exams in each class, which were easy if you did your review.

The class is hard, but very much on par with other GOVT professors. His tests are multiple choice and the questions are fairly straightforward, with the exception of the current event questions which are often fairly obscure. I was satisfied enough to take him for GOVT 2302 as well.

this class is required yet he expected a LOT from the students. Prepare to spend most of the time of your semester for this only class to get an A. Only good thing I could remember is the final was posted one day before, which is nice =)

Professor Berry is possibly one of the most brilliant teachers in his field. Of course he is hard, before him there was no field of political economy--he founded the field! He has high expectations for his students. His class is not for the weak of mind.

This class os very hard. He is very knowledgalbe about his topics, but is sometimes hard to follow, and cannot "dumb" down for the rest of us! Mid-term is long essay format and difficult.

This is one of the most difficult professors I have ever had. He is extremely smart but has trouble bringing the material down to an understandable level for the undergraduate.
