Of course this is a 400 level class and it's meant to be challenging but, Dr. Lee made it way more difficult. Directions were not clear and class was mixed with graduate students that were the most competitive and did not give others an opportunity to speak. Dr. Lee assigned so much work and graded harshly with little feedback. Get ready to work!

Its a humongous amount of material to cover so yes its difficult. If you attend lecture, take copious notes and participate you will be fine. Tests usually have a 60s avg but grp project and lab are practically a test grade too. Overall if you do good on proj, labs and get above avg on those tests ur at an A-. Make sure you do the extra credit!

Dr. Lee is a great professor, she really wants her students to learn the material and apply it. She is super cute and funny, she is so nice and if you need help she is always willing to help you out with what ever topic you are struggling with. I would take her again and I would highly recommend her as a professor.

one take home exam, one final exam, one slideshow presentation graded equally. Lab portion is teamwork small projects. Easy to get an A in the class if you participate. She grades hard if your answers don't match exactly what she wants. very nice person. only complaint is that her lecture is all over the place at times and she tends to ramble on.

Dr. Lee is not a good professor. She focuses on autonomous memorization and expects you to memorize every definition mentioned in her countless slides (sometimes 600 slides for 1 exam). 3.6 GPA student, got a B-, even with extra credit. If you want to actually understand and conceptualize the material or get a high grade, don't take her

I took her 3 wk summer class. It was great! I was originally worried about the workload for a 3 week bio class, but she made the class simple. We didn't have any nightly homework, it all was classwork. She was very straightforward with what she wanted you to know, and didn't add any unnecessary info. Definitely recommend for summer!

Professor Lee is a very thorough professor. Don't buy the textbook because everything you need to know is in her lecture notes. If you don't understand something go to her office hours. She wants everyone to do well. A short presentation counts as an exam in this class. Her accent is not difficult to understand if you pay attention.

Had Dr. Lee Lee for BIMS 431 (Marine Invertebrate Zoology) and for another class which was BIOL 436 (Phylogenetic Zoology). Dr. Lee Lee is amazing to have for Microbiology or Zoology. This coming Fall 2016 Semester I'm taking with Dr. Lee Lee BIOL 550 (Topics in Microbiology) and Molecular Microbiology.

I had Dr. Lee Lee this past semester for BIOL 436 (Phylogenetic Zoology). This class is really fun and make you think outside the box. I also had Dr. Lee Lee for several other Microbiology classes and will take other Microbiology classes with her.

Couldn't have asked for a better professor for microbio. It is a challenging class but she gives you opportunity to bring up your grade and what she teaches is very relevant to MCAT material. Very nice if you go into her office hours and ask for help, or just to chat about anything. Didn't really need a textbook, but be sure to memorize the ppt.

I love Dr. Lee. This was my first class with her and yes, sometimes it is hard to understand her, but she will always be there to help you. Her grading is confusing, but she wants everyone to get an A in the class. She thinks about the students, and made the class doable, fun, and interesting. Can't understand a word. And when I did understand, it was pretty nonsensical and repetitive. Sure, Dr. Lee is intelligent and nice but... horrifying teacher. Just horrifying. Class was ridiculous. Take it with someone else if you want good, clear guidance in a subject. Students here seem to rate on cuteness rather than teaching skill

She's one of the nicest teachers you'll ever meet but she is dead serious. You have to study very hard. Peer reviewed journals every week to read for weekly presentation. Only 2 exams..do well on them. Don't get cocky in this class..especially if you're taking difficult course with it. You'll end up getting a B like many people are right now.
