He may seem like he's a toughy but he really only expects mutual respect & professionalism from students. He assigns a lot of readings and papers, but if you read & do the work you should have no problem. Ask him for help & he will go beyond the necessary to help you do well. He's great! If you don't like him its prob b/c you didn't do the work.

He's unclear with instructions and gives you a pop quiz almost every other class. On the first day of class he said, "if I see a phone I will fail you in the course" before beginning to speak or even introduce himself. He loves ted talks, but loves to assign homework even more. Everything is online or on blackboard and none of it is worth your time

Him and his class were boring. He assigns a lot of work, I could barely keep up. I would not recommend taking him. He's also obsessed with TED Talks, you pretty much watch them every class.

This class does have a lot of homework, it is hard work but as a professor he is very inspirational and I really like him. I find him interesting and you'll learn a lot if you focus

DO NOT ever take an online course with this guy ! I don't care if you waited until your last semester to take wsc - wait another semester ! it will be worth it. The amount of work for this class was ridiculous . If you fall behind on your work your grade will suffer. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !

He is just wrong about the amount of homework students need and are able to take. It is just too much. TOO MUCH. If you do them all, you will be fine, but you wont learn more. It is just unncessary. Students get unmotivated, specially because you are taking other courses, and he just forgets that. 4 courses like this one would be 4 months lost.

Overall, Professor Carson is no better than average. He does not give his students a syllabus, and throughout the semester he will pile on the assignments. While there is a lot of work, the papers and tests are generally fair. If you work hard and complete every assignment, you should do well in the course.

I really liked Professor Carson. He seems kind of cold at first, but warms up pretty quickly. There are a lot of assignments but most of them are pretty easy. Also, he is eager to help when you need it.

I loved Professor Carson. The only reason I'm not taking him for WSC002 is because it conflicts with my schedule. He's intimidating at first, but once he gets going he's very nice. The are a lot of assignments but you get fair warning for them and they're all really easy. The class is mostly watching videosreading and writing your thoughts.

Everyone hates this guy, but listen - If you stay on top of your work you're golden. I HATED him with such a passion in the beginning but I just told myself to suck it up and work my butt off, and he knows who's trying. Now he likes me and I have an A. Just do the work, no matter how many tears you may shed, just get the work done and you're fine

He scares me. It is like he lacks the ability to show emotion. He just tells you what you need to do, makes you take a quiz (which are super hard by the way) and says goodbye. It feels like an online class because there is barely any interaction with your other classmates.

Worst teacher i've ever had...He gives you ridiculous amounts of work every night. Never even talks about half the work you do. Gives the most ridiculous quizzes on the stupidest little details in long chapters of some guide to writing. He never answers any questions on anything. And this is only a few of the things he does...DONT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

Paul Carson is the worst teacher. Do NOT take him. You will be graded unfairly and then not told why. He does not respond to emails well and the only thing you do in class is take tests on topics you've never talked about. He is a terrible teacher.

AWESOME TEACHER... always willing to help and very knowledgeable of what he is doing. tests every class but you get a chance to boost your grade with them they are easy quizzes. best professor i have had at this school so far!!!!!

He has a very dry sense of humor, but I have grown rather fond of him. If you want to do well in this class, you MUST do your work. The quizes he gave were absolutely ridiculous, he would pick out a word from a 1000 word piece, and ask you to define it. Not fun. There are only 4 essays, but since you have to revise each one, there are really 8.
