Truly one of my favorite professors I ever had from any of the three colleges/universities I went to. He's very passionate about what he teaches and takes a real genuine interest in his students. I was fortunate enough to have him twice and will absolutely miss his lectures, including the virtual ones because of Coronavirus.

I would take the other reviews with a grain of salt. Although Prof Anderson is a nice man his class involved boring lectures everyday with no focus, 2 exams and one paper that creates the final grade. This is strictly a class for those who are already interested in and knowledgeable about Greek history otherwise it is not an easy A for a GE.

One of my favorite professors at Ohio State. Really is passionate about Greek history and you can tell by the way he lectures. I'm a history major and this was probably one of the easiest history courses I've taken here. If you are looking for an easy history GE, this is definitely your guy!

2 tests and a paper for the entire class. If you show up to class (which is mandatory), and take decent notes you can walk out with an A and a nice, british friend.

Dr. Anderson is a wonderful prof. Who gives great lectures. He seems very passionate about his field and teaches it in a historicist way, that is looking at history on its own terms. He's one of the best profs I've had in hist. And is also pretty easy. I would recommend him to anyone.

We had 2 tests and 2 papers to write. No homework, just readings that were enjoyable most of the time. If you show up, you will pass. His lectures are really easy to follow, and interesting! His tests are the most straight forward tests I have had at OSU. He has a dry humor that is actually pretty funny. Definitely my favorite professor!

I'm an engineer and had to take a History GE. He is the SWEETEST guy ever, and as long as you take really good notes and study for the exams you will do fine. Warning though - the lectures can be very, very boring. He does not have any slides so you need to actually pay attention all class in order to get good notes.

Not a big history person but this class was excellent. He is an engaging lecturer and is very passionate about the subject. I would recommend taking notes on a laptop because he covers a lot of material in a short amount of time with no powerpoint slides. I loved this guy and would recommend him to anyone.

He's an adorable british guy who loves to teach about the Greeks! He's fun to listen to, easy to talk to, and as long as you take basic notes there's no reason you shouldn't get an A. His tests are straightforward and simple, and he gives extra credit questions!

Professor Anderson was a fantastic lecturer. From day one he had us won over with his quaint British accent and concise lectures. He is a very articulate and fun individual, and while he shows his knowledge well, he keeps everything down to earth. My only knock on him was he made the class TOO easy to get an A in. Otherwise, he was great.

A great professor who really seems to know his stuff. Makes history a story, and apart from a few boring lectures he keeps the class consistently interesting. Midterm and final were very, very easy and straightforward, so as long as you put in a bit of effort the class is just a great experience.
