He is hilarious and knowledgeful in his lectures. Provides great feedback for the essays you have written. Even better, he allows unlimited revisions of essays - though, I didn't have the need to revise them, as he grades by content and arguments of the work, and doesn't nitpick on grammatical errors and take away many points like other professors.

This was my first college class, and I could not have found a better first instructor if I tried for a year. Dr. Rollins gives great feedback on essays, allows revisions, and explicitly said on the first day that "if you can take notes well, adjust essays for revisions, pay attention, and show up? You'll pass."

Prof Rollins is an amazing professor. He doesn't assign many essays, but for the few he does, he also gives out detailed feedback, and allows you to revise and raise your grade. He also assigns some readings each class section, but then he goes extremely in-depth with the meanings and such, so if you like literature and easy As, take him!

Dr. Rollins is the most spectacular professor! By far the best professor I have ever taken in my academic career! He is understanding and hilarious! I wish I could have him as my professor for all my classes. He is passionate about what he does and is super knowledgable. Best lectures ever! I'd enjoyed and loved everything about the class!

Ive had him for English one and two and Im about to take his class again. Anyone can get an A if they work for it. He lets you redo your paper up to five times, only takes your highest grade, and gives you clear feedback each time. If you learn through discussion like me, this is the class for you. The workload isnt excessive and its enjoyable

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!! I've been to so many Lonestar campuses on a search for a good professor and he exceeded my expectations. Easy to reach and very helpful and gives good constructive criticism. I wish I could have a professor like him for every course. Amazing man 10/10 would take him again!

If you like literature, this class is for you. You have to like writing and there is a lot of papers (3-1300 word papers, a mid paper, and then the final paper) I took him for summer and he is my favorite teacher! All of my papers I received a 100% but the one negative I have is the lack of feedback, overall, I loved him.

had him for 1302 and there was 3 essays and a midterm, he did a great job keeping you focused during class by making it entertaining and made sure you understood the material. Do the readings beforehand! Each class we had a review of the material where he asked specific questions to aide discussion. Great English teacher!

Dr. Rollins is amazing!! unfortunately, my semester with him was cut short because of COVID-19 but the time I spent in his class was great! He expects you to read one or two readings a week and then talk about them in class. His lectures are great because he is funny! There are only 3 essays and then a take-home midterm and a final.

I dont rate professors usually but I had to let everyone know that Professor Rollins is one of my favorite professors Ive had. He was very helpful before Coronavirus and even more so during it. BY FAR BEST PROFESSOR AT LONESTAR!!! His lectures are hilarious, his assignments arent super challenging or tedious, hell let you revise your papers until you get an A and hell delete the old grade. theres about 4 papers all semester, and then a final. reading isnt too bad, gives great advice, would highly recommend taking this class!

Professor Rollins was a great professor! Though his lectures could go on for a too long he at least made it fun and entertaining. When he assigned papers he always handed it back with great feedback and plenty of time to make corrections for a better grade. If you want an easy A and a great professor, Rollins is the right choice.

Best professor at Lone Star BY FAR!! Gives amazing lectures, and if you dont quite get the grade you wanted on an essay, hell let you revise it as many times as you want until you get the grade you want, and make that your new grade. Very helpful and good at explaining assignments.

One of the best professors i have ever had! Working full time 12hrs and school is not a walk in the park, but Mr. Rollins gives us enough resources to prepare for our exams and to be successful. Just pay attention and study and you will do great!!!!!

Rollins is one of the best professors I have ever had!! In ENGL 1302 we had 3 papers, which were not very hard. He lets you revise them many times to achieve the grade that you want. Also, on the final he made it very easy!! !0/10 would recomend!!!!!
