got off-topic very often. learn more from the book than from his lectures. test are over 6-8 chapters at a time. assignments are very easy though, tests are very hard.

lectures are insanely arduous and unorganized but he gives you a full sheet of TF questions for study guides. As long as you thoroughly answer the questions and make good flash card questions out of them you should pull off at least a B on the tests. The topics covered are very enriching and applicable to the real world. esp for entrepreneurs.

Mr. Long is NOT as bad as many of the previous reviews make him out to be. If you put in the effort, you will be fine. He uses movies to illustrate examples of the material he teaches; they are as useful as you make them. Same goes for the book. It is useful if you actually read and take notes on it.

Would not recommend. We had nearly 30 quizzes in 7 weeks. each quiz had two essay questions on them and it's impossible to get full credit on them. I got low A's high B's on every single quiz. His lectures are super boring and you won't want to watch them. Also had a question about something so I emailed him and he never even bothered to respond.

I would not recommend taking him. Prof. Long's lectures were very very boring and very scattered. His tests are all multiple choice with one short answer and the multiple choice are very very tricky. He adds a small curve to tests but it is not enough to make up for the tricky questions.

This professor is by far the worst professor I have ever had for a class. He tells stories about his life as a lawyer all class period. He goes over time every time, and is always unprepared. If he doesn't agree with you, then he will embarrass you in front of the entire class and address why you are wrong..... for an opinion. I do not recommend.

Does not teach the material, instead he expects you to learn it all on your own then regurgitate it to him in his class. He once said he teaches a Masters Law course that is like BLAW263, except the material is more expansive and the grading is tougher. He'll give 2 pop quizzes in the same class over different chapters. Class is passable I guess

Expects you to already know what he's teaching you, and looks down on you if you don't. If he doesn't agree with your opinion, he will flat out tell you you're wrong and make you feel awful. At the beginning of the semester, he will go around the class and have everybody say their majors and future jobs, and will then tell you what's wrong with it.

Awful! Worst professor at USI. Unorganized and doesn't come to class prepared. Works tax problems for the very first time in class and he isn't really sure of the final answer. Know former students who struggled on the tax part of the CPA exam because of him. Avoid at all costs!

His class was very tough and could be very boring at times, but overall I learned a lot from it. If you don't want to do work, this isn't the teacher for you. Also, his tests are very difficult because they are like scenarios and nothing like the true/false quizzes.

I thought this class was going to be a lot harder, but if you do all the homework and text reading (a ton) you'll be fine.Be prepared to put in a lot of effort for him though. His tests are not easy, but this class is manageable if you can devote the necessary time to text book reading.

I wasn't looking forward to Business Law, but I thought that Professor Long's class was surprisingly easy. He can be a little boring, but it's not that bad. You will be fine if you do the readings. His tests are all multiple choice and if you've actually attempted to learn the material then they are a piece of cake.

He told the class we would be teaching ourselves 24 ch; if I wanted to take an online class I would have taken an online class! I am a student that needs to be TAUGHT and that is why I am at SCHOOL. The class avg/test was a 60% each time, this should say something about the instructor! This guy knows his business law, but has no business teaching.

boring... gives you 10 point quizzes every class which he gives you the questions before you take the quizzes. test you never know what will be on them you should be able to pass the class with just the quizzes but he makes the test hard to teach the class a lesson in how to study.. it's a guaranteed C but should be an easy B.

Awful professor..his first statement in class is that he is there to guide us not to teach us. Every exam we took the median grade for the class was an F meaning over half the class failed every exam. He is very boring and expects you to know everything by just reading. Projects are a waste of time and he gives a useless quiz every class

While he was confusing in class, the curved the tests and tax returns to make the grades more fair. Offered plently of homework to help your grade. Very clear prior to test what would be covered, most of the time you just had to read the book and learn on your own.

Business isn't either of my majors, but still got really good stuff out of class. Liked hearing about cases he had. He was very willing to entertain questions and gave clear and complete answers. Need to keep up in class. Also suggest really exploring websites he references; very, very helpful!

Great professor. This is the only professor that I feel has actually pushed me to learn. Tests are very difficult but doable if you study. I aced both finals I had with him. I've learned more in his tax and adv. Tax courses than any other.
