Comment:

Took People-Plant Relationships class online. He assigned 3 easy projects (Biography, Substance, Crop) and 4 tests. Tests were about 35 Q's and multiple choice, on Moodle, open book. He's very caring just wants students to try on the projects & turn in the work on time. Great science class if you want to skip dissections but need science credits.

literally my best friend, hes such an intelligent man and teacher. i have 3 classes w him such a great guy just do what he says and youll be good, sit n listen youll gain everything you need for ur future experiences.

I have had him for two classes so far, HRT101 & HRT104. He knows his plants and will share his knowledge for those interested. Dr. Fischer has a free form style of lecturing, it can seem like an unorthodox approach but it is one of his greatest strengths in my opinion. Should mention it can be default for those not interested in horticulture.

I had the class for 4 hours, and was miserable the whole time. Very unorganized. Talks for ever about unrelated stuff to the class. Hard to understand what will be on exams. 3 projects and 3 exams. Every project is a presentation. Nice guy, no textbook, and I did receive an A. Workload isn't bad, but wouldn't take again because of the boring class

The lectures are long and it is hard to piece out the important information needed for the tests since he loves to bounce from topic to topic. It is like he is trying to overcompensate for his terrible teaching by showing off his random knowledge. 3 major tests with minimal review and 3 projects.

take this class if you enjoy having no structure and being constantly interrupted while giving a presentation. professor is easygoing, but he lacks organization. this class is heavily project based. do not take it if you're used to the traditional type of teacher/classroom.

Do Not take this class : All he does is ramble and interrupts every student talking he's very vague about the test he gives long test He talks so much that he will put you to sleep He does give extra credit but this class is super boring and the teacher is all over the place

Gave 15 points extra credit for attendance/participation, and 10 point extra credit for a final paper assignment. That brought my C to A. He doesn't expect you to know much, because he will speak for you. He is an interrupter. This could be a psychological disorder, why can't he just sit there, be quiet, and let his students present their topic?

He is a overall okay professor alot of project assignment, give only two tests. But he loves to talk a lot of the times. If you want a professor that talks a lot take him. He usually takes the class outside. Knows a lot about plants.

Good professor. We always eat food, give only 2 tests. 2 group projects and 2 self projects. He does indeed ramble on about stuff that are not involved in the class. Take him.

Great Prof.! His teaching style is more free form but he is a horticultre GENIUS! If you are serious about this program and your studies you just have to sit back and really listen to him & follow his direction and you will really learn alot. just let go of your formal learning style & just go with it! really fun class! Lots of knowledge to absorb

This was one of my favorite classes. Great professor, you learn a lot, very easy going,lots of laughs, ton of fun. Great experience, would recommend this class to all. Very fair professor.

Very unorganized when giving notes and vague as to what will be on the test. Lots of projects all easy but very time consuming. Does all the talking and you can't get a word in. Interrupts presentations all the time. Not recommended.

He is awful....He tells stories from his life all the time. Once a week he gives huge multiple choice tests. Labs are difficult. His tests ask vague questions that can be answered many ways. We are not botanists, we are students.... He always interrupts anyone giving a presentation.
