Professor Arroyos lectures are tough and her tests are TOUGH. She teaches at a fast pace, so if you need help, make sure you ask for it before youre too late. I passed her class with a low C because I forgot a calculator for the final exam... when she allows calculators, PLEASE use it. Some of the material is hard to do on paper and mentally.

Shes was really easy to me I passed the class with a A if you cant catch on the math fast I wouldnt take her only because she she teach fast but she will break it down for you if you need to.

Easy class. 4 exams (including the final which she gives you 2 whole hours to complete all of the tests), weekly discussions and practice problems. She even gives extra credit for doing more than 1 discussion. She posts lecture notes too. Definitely take this course with Dr. Arroyo.

Mrs. Arroyo is a great teacher. I have never been particularly good at math, but she explains processes very well and will help you if you ask her to. There's not a lot of homework and she tells you in advance what's going to be on each test. She's a very sweet lady and if you're struggling, she will help you if you just talk to her.

Arroyo is very hard to understand in the beginning, but I did like her class. She will help if you go to her office. She doesn't give a ton of homework and gives a lengthy time to do it.

This was one of the easiest classes I've taken in college. Everything she gives as homework ends up on tests. As long as you are somewhat conscious during lecture you should be able to pass.

The course I took with Prof. Arroyo was Intermediate Algebra which is already a tough class. She went through the work quickly and efficiently, but it was hard to understand. She does give some extra credit. She was a difficult teacher.

Nice lady. If you are a non engineering major looking for an A. Just do her homework exactly how she does examples in class and you can get an A. For majors that require a higher level of math after Math 203 run and look for another. Took this class and was honestly babied and did not get a full understanding. Now I have to take Math 304.

Dr. Arroyo is honestly one of the sweetest people I have had the pleasure to meet. She knows her stuff and as long as you pay attention you will do well. I had her for Trig and Algebra 3 and I made an A in both. If I can do it, you can do it

I got out of this class with an A and it was easy. However, if I could go back and do it again, I would have taken it with a different professor. I'm sure Dr. Arroyo is a perfectly nice person but the fact that it took me a week to begin to understand her drove me absolutely postal. Math 111 is easy enough, jhust try to avoid Arroyo.

she is a bit hard to understand at first and very boring but all of her notes are online and she gives very accurite study guides. i had her for prob/stats and made a 97 with math as my worst subject.she is always willing to help and goes back to each individual students grade to tweek it higher if she can.even get extra cred for showing good work.

Many people do not like her because of her accent, but she is a pretty good teacher. If you go to her office hours it will help you. I went to her office hours the day before the exams and would get 98s because of the extra points and what not. She also have a sense of humor ad is sort of funny. Overall she is an above average teacher.

Everyone said she was a great teacher but not in this class I couldn't really understand her. At first I was going to drop the class but then someone said she was really good so I decided to stay in but she doesn't explain much and she gets mad if you ask her any questions about the material.

I have had Arroyo for multiple classes now, and she is wonderful. Her notes are posted online, and she only counts about half of the hw towards your grade, the rest usually ends up as extra credit. She is always available for help, and will work with you until you understand the material.

This lady is the worst of the worst. You can't understand a word she is saying. She doen't give you extra credit and when you ask a question she doesn't want to answer it. She sometimes says she doesn't have to work. She doesn't help you at all. If you had to take STATS I prefer you take a professor that speaks english and explains the material.

Comment:

She is a nice person but English is not her first language which makes it hard to understand most of what she says. She gives out power points and reads them instead of teaching. She expects you to memorize several formulas and doesn't give partial credit on anything. If you are bad at math or haven't taken a math class in awhile-steer clear.
