I took it online and liked how his class was formatted. He has very clear instructions and expectations. He provides great feedback. The chapters you read are really long and it was hard to keep focus the whole time, but you learn some interesting things. I enjoyed the case studies! Overall, it was great! Id definitely take him again.

Professor Bair is really great and is passionate about what he is teaching. There are A LOT of papers and writings. It was more than an SWS class. Only met three times in person and they were really long and do not add much to the course. Weekly journals were interesting. Highly recommend Professor Bair

Nice guy. Took as an hybrid class & the work load frightened me when I read the syllabus, but it was actually really easy. For a 300 level online class it had a usual amount of writing assignments but I think most were just graded as a credit. Super easy to get an A. In class days are long and boring but there were only 3. Case study was kinda fun

David Bair ran a pretty usual online class. He does require more writing than others, but it's mostly for participation. He has a lot of requirements for the online papers, case studies, and exams, but he makes them very clear. You will need the textbook, as many of your weekly writings requires it. I wouldn't call it a hard class.

I took this as a hybrid class. He was very clear about all assignments and doesn't mind if you turn them in a little bit late. The midterm and the final were both online. The other assignments were from the textbook and a few papers. Seemed like a lot of pointless reading, but overall not too difficult.

Professor Bair was very clear on what he wanted. Every assignment was clearly drawn out, which made it really easy to accomplish what he desired, and he sent an email every week with reminders. Very organized man. The in-class sessions were really boring, but if you can tough those out, I highly recommend taking him.

As a senior taking LIB 100, I would not reccomend taking it with Bair. For underclassman he may be okay. He did not allow students to really let discussions flow among one another. He claimed that he was just there to facilitate but he often spoke the entire class period. Not much room for discussion in class. Personally, I did not like him.

Prof. Bair is a good guy. He is really passionate about teaching and I really like the way he taught the hybrid class. We had weekly journals over the reading (not too hard), two case study projects, an interview and a couple of papers all through the online format. The face to face meetings are really boring (he talks a lot) but there are only 3.

Easy class overall with not too much work. You do need the textbook for some of the assignments. Sometimes he says things so thoroughly that it gets annoying because he says a lot of obvious things. Overall, easy class and not too much work.

First of all, Professor Bair is such a nice guy, and I enjoyed his class. This is a different type of class in that it is completely discussion based and there are no tests. The class is either extremely interesting or completely boring. This class is fairly easy, if you do the work, you will get an A for sure. Take LIB 100 with Bair!

Professor Bair taught my Liberal Education class. Hes someone that would probably teach for almost free if he had too; seems to love his job. Knows his subjects! He takes attendance, but his class is very simple. DO the reading and write the discussion paper for each class and you'll pass no problem! super easy grader.

Seems to be a good guy but he makes the class so ungodly boring. Spends the whole class explaining something that can be summed up in 5 words. Very easy class, you don't even have to try to get an A. However, you do have to pay attention and take notes during the semester to pass the final.

Awesome Prof. I would recommend him to anyone. I don't think this class is going to exist anymore, but I am sure he is good with any other classes too. He is super helpful and willing to meet with you when and if you want. The class was easy, but I learned a few good things from it. I'd recommend him to anyone! Very passionate about his work.

Prof. Bair is amazing! Honestly one of the top two professors I've ever had. He really cares about his students and wants them to do well in his class. An A is very attainable if you go to class and take good notes. You can tell he loves his job and is ver passionate about education. Highly recommended, even if you aren't an ED major. He's great!

He's a nice guy and has some great perspectives on education. I took his online section of 225, and it was a little frustrating. Spread evenly, the class requires about 4-5 pages of writing a week. I don't think online teaching is his forté, but he does okay with it. Make sure to take all perspectives into account when you write for him.
