Professor Bradbury is one of a kind. He is extremely knowledgeable about everything relating to developmental psychology. His teaching style is unique, but effective. It's been a while since I had him but I still remember his lectures! Pay attention to what he emphasizes in class and you will do well.

As mentioned in another review, there is a question on the second test that must be answered right or you receive a D FOR THE ENTIRE COURSE! You could be an A+ student and that one question would give you a D. The way he presents material is also hard to follow. I would not recommend you take a class with this prof.

This is the one teacher I have had in my life that I wont forget. He often came into a classroom not needing any materials, AND believe it or not, his lectures were NEVER dry! He knew what he was talking about like he knew the back of his hand. He was able to bring his information to life and capture his audiences attention.

Took me a minute to get used to. But if you just go with it and listen to his instructions, then its a really interesting class. It seems like a lot of reading at first, but it's an easy class to do well in, and if you just do the readings - he is looking to see that you read and understood important ideas/theories. Rather than regurgitating terms

Tests are like high school history tests - values dates/names over understanding the material. MUST attend lectures to hear the answer to a test question (automatic D if you get it wrong) yet his lectures are just rants, barely related to developmental psych. Ridiculous amount of reading required. Only positives are low cost + second chance tests.

I agree with others, he is very disorganized. However, his testing/marking makes up for it. He gives you two chances at each test, plus you can hand in essays as many times as you want to get a better grade by editing. No way you should be getting less than an A in this class. Lots of reading but easy grading!

He was the worst professor Ive ever had in 7 years of university. Hes very disorganized, hes very forgetful, and he doesnt explain things well at all. He passes out paper at the beginning of the class and reads off it. He lost 3 of my assignments in the 6 months I had him. Very reading heavy, lots of exams and essays. Would never recommend!

This course was not at all what I expected it to be. I was on the waitlist for this course with a different professor and went to 3 or 4 classes hoping to get in and the material was completely different. Expect to talk about Freud, Ferenczi and Darwin in his class. Expect to have a first chance and second chance on your tests. Very hard.

Professor Bradbury loves devlop. psych, he is very intelligent on the subject, and cares about the student's grades. His class is different than most, but once you get used to his style you will do great. Gives second chances on all tests and esssays to get the best mark. You either like him or you dont. He is a fountain of devlop. psych knowledge!

Hinton is an amazing man, smart and thoughtful, but as a professor I would not recommend him. His lectures are not specific and random at best. The content is not clear and expecting university students to read over 1500 pages of material in 3 months is insane. All in all I wouldnt take a class with him again.

1 test (m.c) and 1 essay (1-2 pgs) every 2 weeks, not cumulative! Two test date options if you can't make one & essays can be revised! (But he stopped reading them and just gave the same mark I got for the rest /: ) He's a strange guy but willing to help students READ TEXTBOOK! Tests literally had random q's from photo captions in textbook..

I really enjoyed Intro to Psych with Professor Bradbury. He is very flexible with tests; you have two option days of when to take it. The course is basically 40 questions - all fill in the blanks - and 10 points essays (can be revised). Don't be shy to talk to him and ask questions, he'll help you out! Get ready to memorize the notes and book!

His lectures are very professional and refreshing. Exam style is flexible in that if you read the textbook and read his pink booklet which he hands in class, you are guaranteed a good grade . He is extremely easy to talk to and is extremely flexible with dates. Be prepared to memorize a lot of terms from textbook and also writing short essays.

Bradbury has an unconventional teaching style, but once you're used to him the class is good! 3 term tests - all fill in the blank and you get two chances to write it (gives you the highest grade of the 2). 3 papers based on assigned books, which you are allowed to resubmit for feedback as many times as you wish.

Had him for a summer course in developmental psych. I found him to be a compelling lecturer and an absolute fountain of knowledge. My only real complaint is there was a girl in the class who was constantly making inappropriate comments, and when I brought it up he failed to do anything about it.

Comment:
8 tests 8 essays, units were not cumulative though, so this made it easier. Tests were very hard fill in the blanks. If you read the textbook though you would do okay. His notes were almost unreadable due to his writing. Also lectures are pretty much pointless because he just talks about whatever he wants to and most of the time its not important.

Comment:
Unconventional but super fun prof to have for developmental psych I & II. Extremely bright and well-spoken, engaging. Just don't expect to be able to read a textbook and cruise through the class. Readings are primary source literature as well as a packet of notes condensed from textbooks. Different, but awesome.
