I LOVE Dr. Muson. He's such a good dude. He lectures a lot so as long as you take good notes, you'll be fine. I only had to write two papers for him and our two tests were take homes. Every Friday he had discussions based on the readings so as long as you skim it enough to get a general understanding, you'll be good. What a man.

Really like Dr. Munson. He is a funny guy and his lectures were pretty entertaining. Im not sure about upper level, but his lower level history class was not very difficult.

Great teacher, gives a lot of feedback on your work. If you are struggling for sure see him and talk to him about it. Tests aren't bad just make sure to study the study guide that he put on the board for the exams in specific details.

He is a really nice guy, but you need to stay up to date on the readings and take lots of notes in class to have a clue what is going on. Map quizzes and reading quizzes are easy as long as you put in work. There are 2 tests and as long as you do the outlines and study you will be fine. One research paper that he grades kinda harshly.

He is so willing to help you if you need it. Go to his office hours and talk to him. Also go to class. He is a lot more willing to help if you have good attendance. The readings and discussions can be overwhelming but they have been so helpful in the long run.

He is, by far, my favorite professor at Longwood. If you work hard and do the readings, the class can be very easy. When it comes to your prospectus and paper, GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS; he is so helpful and is willing to work with you. He makes it very easy to study for his tests. I suggest making an outline to study from.

Goos person, does care about his students. But must read, pay attention and take notes in class. If you ask for help, he will be there but you have to come to him first. Had only 2 test, midterm and final and only 1 6 page paper, but a pretty hard grader.

He''s a really nice guy and very understanding if you have a legitimate reason for missing class. He is a very tough grader though. Also the papers he assigns have nothing to do with his lectures which are basically hour-long tangents. I didn''t learn much from his class.

Overall, he's a nice guy but he thinks that everyone is interested in the subject, when really... we're just trying to complete one of the goals. The amount of reading we have to do in this class is ridiculous. The exams are okay, but you have to actually dedicate your time and study for them. Ugh this class was terrible. Good luck.

He is a great professor and loves to teach. He has a lot of notes, but will joke with you and loves to have a good time. We have a paper on historical films, and discussions every Friday that require questions due on Thursday, but he is still easy. The worst part of my class is my classmates, not him or the notes, by far:)

I took the Honors section. There were no tests, quizzes or anything like that. Just the papers and discussions every Friday. A lot of reading and work to be done outside of class, but he was really nice. He gave me a B on a paper that I turned in late, and it was a terrible paper on my part. Lots of notes, but it was a history class after all.

Regardless of what professor you have, there is a lot to learn in this subject. Given that, this is the professor to have. He's a really nice guy. The assignments are time consuming, I'm not going to lie, but every professor's will be. Just ask him for help, and he'll assist as much as he can.

Munson is a great teacher! Pretty easy to pass his class with an A if you just study. His tests are super-easy and the paper assignments are a cinch if you just take five minutes to talk to him about them. His door is always open and he is probably the friendliest of all the History Professors at Longwood. He is great for advice in life too!

I did well in this class, ended up with an A but had to take LOTS of notes. He stands in front of the class and talks and writes on the board the entire time. He basically teaches the class by telling somewhat of a "story" about the history. Nice guy but toooo many notes! Also required a lot of studying and writing document analysis.
