Great teacher! She is really helpful. The class is a lot of memorization, but it is not hard if you do work everyday. She gives lots of quizzes and 3 test. Her style seems disconnected at first, but her repetition of drills helps if you come to class everyday.

She was a little intimidating at first with the amount of work and the way she taught but she really helped prepare for the final exam. She lets you know in advance what's going to be on the quizzes and tests and the homework isn't too bad. Just show up to class and pay attention, she's good!

This class is not basic memorization! The tests and the drills and the book are all made by different people, which means that when you go to take a test, you are tested on words you have never seen before. When you have seen the words in the book or the drills you have to change the ending, but you are never given any rules to do so.

Self-paced class, but you have to show up about every two weeks to take exams. LOTS of memorization and many of the test questions don't come from the book or drills online. To me it was excruciatingly boring, and I would seriously advise against taking this class unless you love memorizing words or already have an extensive background in science.

Very good class! Keep up with the material, and DO THE DRILLS! A lot of info is in the drill, but not in the book. If you slack off, you could do poorly on an exam since there's lots of memorization. Good class for med/sci majors.

Great class, basic memorization. This class helps you in all your other science classes by understanding the root of words, just like taking latin in high school, really gives you an edge over others when it comes to studying medical-related things in the future. Don't get behind testd deadline. Easy class for summer

This class was very helpful to take, especially if you're going into the medical field. You only have to go to class on the days when the tests are due, otherwise it's just a self-paced class. Stay on top of all the material, and you should do fine. Straight memorization. Really hard to not do well

Professor Ross is great. She really cares about whether or not you understand the material and she is willing to help you almost anytime. The material can be difficult just because of the amount of it that there is but if you study and ask for help if you need it, you'll do fine.

Professor Ross is the best professor I've had at USC. I'm in graduate school now and still feel that way. Yes, you have to study for her classes, but school is for learning. :p She does a fantastic job making Latin easy to learn.

She is awesome. I took two years of latin in high school and it was never this easy to understand. I didn't even take the exam last semester because it was so easy to exempt. If you want to get your foreign language out of the way quick and easy, take her. There is a lot of homework but it is fast and easy.

Self-paced class, which made it convenient to study for other classes after the work for this one was out of the way. Keep up; stay ahead if you can - that way you'll finish early in the semester. No final. Straight up memorization. Not much student-teacher interaction (no lectures), so the ability to communicate questions is limited to email.

I hated this course and the professor. Ms. Ross doesn't care about the students and is not concerned about whether or not you learn anything. The class itself was harder than it should've been, especially since it was an elective. Don't take this class if you're looking for an easy A. TRUST ME.
