He made some jokes in class, that were FUNNY, mostly because they were witty. He's a very chill person, and his class isn't hard. He requires you to go to class, but trust me its actually fun. Hes not very helpful when it comes to actually teaching some things, but you should be able to get an easy A. There some really fun group projects you do.

He was pretty relaxed in terms of the class. We didn't have to attend the last 10 classes, which was nice. HOWEVER, to the classes we did go, I did not learn anything. Then when it came time to take an electronics test, I found it impossible. Reviewing the test, not even a third year electrical engineering major knew how to do the problems!

This was a great class. Class usually lasts around 35min, and contains 2-3 entertaining experiments. HW is very easy if you go to the review sessions, but thought the class was taught at a low level, the exams were much harder and very tricky.

Charismatic and interesting prof. Likes to play with liquid nitrogen and fire to keep class awake- easy class and science/math credit but careful on exams, some tricky q's. Help sessions for hw will ensure you an A.

Helpful. Great teacher. The class was a little easy, but then again, I think it's supposed be. Take Watkins for anything.

PHYS 101-102: Really easy, great for non-science majors. Pretty much I'd think a mandatory course for anyone who cares about their GPA. Really easy class... exams can get a little tricky, but only part of it. He has a tendency to rock out and light stuff on fire

This class was easy and you didn't have to go to lectures but the material was boring. its a good way to fulfill a math/sci credit but its not that interesting. he tries really hard to make class fun tho, its kinda cute. He's really nice and easy to talk to. I'd recommend it

This class was a waste of time. If you're looking for an easy class that requires no effort or thought, it's for you. If you'd like something that's remotely interesting and/or challenging, this isn't it.

Prof. Watkins is a GREAT professor. Physics 101 and 102 are easy courses. You have three homework sets, limited amount of reading, and two exams. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend going to his office hours about the homework because he will tell you everything you need to know! It's an awesome class too! :)

The class itself is very easy. There are numerous demos done throughout the semester making the class fun. Prof. Watkins does his best to make it interesting. The exams, however, have many ideas not covered in class, but many questions deal with the demos; if you go to class, you'll pass.

i thought the class was ridiculously easy, but the test questions were so irrelevant, and did not test your knowledge on physics at all. Lectures were very boring- he'd repeat the same demo over and over, making everybody fall asleep, and then ask you a specific question about a demo done 2 months ago on the final. I wouldn't take this class again

His class is amazing. The work is.. wait..what work? (thank god - like we don't have enough work w/ the other engr. classes) The class is laid back and the projects we had to do were fun and interesting. He's a really nice guy... choose him for engr162 if you can. (huge diff. between his class and the others)

Tests have questions about in-class demos on them, so don't skip. GO TO THE HW REVIEW SESSIONS - the TA basically goes through every question and tells you how to do them. Really easy and on cool topics (atomic bombs, nuclear energy, etc).

Best teacher I've ever had! He tries so hard to make class fun and is so into his students doing well. You do not have to read. There are four homeworks, midterm and an exam. The midterm and exam are easy, but you MUST go to class. As long as you go to class, it is an easy gut.
