Comment:
Professor Budani is why I became an anthropology major. She has amazing insight if you actually listen to her stories. She goes off on a lot of tangents but if you listen to them you'll learn a lot about Anthropology (even if it's not related to the reading).

If you take this class, be prepared to hate yourself. She is the absolute most incomprehensible prof at UD and bored me to tears. None of her hundreds of assignments have anything to do with the class, and half of them get cancelled with no warning. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. EVER. NOT EVEN FOR A BREADTH REQ. TAKE SOMETHING ELSE, I BEG YOU.

Budani is a very...."interesting" woman. The class can be very easy if you're good at BSing things but very hard b/c she assigns a LOT of unnecessary assignments. She does offer extensions on papers. A LOT of sakai submissions and youtube video watching. Overall, it can be a Easy A because the work is easy but time consuming.

Worst class I have taken at UD. This teacher gives so much work that is completely useless and irrelevant. For a 101 class, the workload is unbelievable. STRONGLY ADVISE TO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

DO NOT TAKE HER!!! worst decision of my life. She gives so much work that is useless to what we're learning and then decides not to count them toward your grade so you did all that work for nothing, is unclear about assignments, and then when you email her questions, she gives nasty and disrespectful emails back. plus she's boring. dont take her.

This class is beyond easy. You watch movies most days and she occasionally lectures. I learned nothing from this class, BSed every single thing I handed in, and still got an A.

She is a wonderful professor if you would like an easy A. She hands out assignments that she usually cancels, then she would confuse the heck out of ya and tries to say that she said everything once before and would not help you. If you're looking to learn d not find her, but if you're looking for an Easy A after BSing then get her!!!

Budani is a good teacher. She is very passionate what she teaches about. She is the best professor I've had who responds to emails very fast. Grading is very fair. All quizzes are online and there are three exams in class. Do the reading you will get a good grade in the class. Perfect for fulfilling a breadth requirement class, Highly suggest it.

While she certainly brings her interest and enthusiasm to lectures, it is often difficult to even understand what she is saying, let alone what point she's trying to make. Often when people ask questions she will give a nonsense answer and worst of all, she gets really annoyed when no one answers questions during class. Very boring.

Don't let these Arts majors fool you, she is boring and dry and confuses herself often(she looks 80). Its an easy class with semi-mandatory attendance but is the longest 75 mins of hell you will sit through everyday. The material sucks to study for and learn in general. Easy grade and multi-cultural but it comes at a price.

Budani is interesting and sometimes incredibly unclear, but she is very enthusiastic about anthropology. She is very knowledgable and although you may be frusterated with her at first, once you understand how to interpret her teaching and instructions she's a good teacher. I'm taking her again. 3 easy exams and daily reading critiques.

Prof. Budani made a very boring Anthro requirement amazing! Her class was enjoyable, even though she assigns readings and a critique for every class. Honestly, its not nearly as much work most classes. She's incredibly interesting and I fully plan to take more of her classes! Definitely take Budani!

She is a really well intentioned woman who is really passionate about what she teaches. The tests aren't hard but you definitely have to read the book! She seems kind of out of it some of the time and gets a bit confused with questions, not a bad class to take to fill a breadth req tho

Her classes consist of a ton of reading and writing assignments, but she is very easy going. As long as you do the work and show that you've learned, you'll do well in her class. She is also very flexible and understanding if you need extra time. Highly recommended!

This class was certainly an experience. The subject matter is very interesting, and it is not difficult to pass, but Donna Budani is quite a character. If you don't mind incomprehensible emails, sakai assignments that don't make any sense, and lectures that have literally no bearing on the tested material then, sure, take peasant societies.

Donna Budani is completely incompetent. Its impossible to hear anything she says, and she changes up the homework so much you never know what is due. She would probably do better in a retirement home than a classroom.

I was an honors student in a large class. If you really want to learn the books for the class are very interesting. She showed a movie in about 90% of the lectures all semester and she sometimes seemed incompetent and confused. Lots of assignments but just write that you learned something from them and she gives you 100%. Very eccentric prof.

I learned a LOT from Prof. Budani. While there is quite a bit of course work, she makes it easy by spreading it out and mixing it up over the semester. The actual class is not difficult, just stay on top of the work, a little bit every night will keep you ahead!

Dr. Budani is a great teacher. There are a lot of books needed for her class, and attendance is mandatory. She usually has a summary due every class of what you were supposed to read and it was worth points when graded. She is really nice and gives almost everyone an A. There were 3 take home essay exams.
