Took this class ASYC. Not my favorite class, but I feel like I learned something in Health, which surprised me. Tests were open note and basically copy-pasted from the lectures, so it's an easy A if you just watch the lectures and do a couple group projects.

Snow is a wonderful choice for APPH. I took her class asynchronously. I really enjoyed the content and there are many different routes to getting an A. I did not even have to do some projects since I was able to do well on the midterms(which are not very difficult). Snow is very approachable and really cares about the wellbeing of her students.

The only reason difficulty is a 3 is because this class takes TIME. Lot's of memorizing misc facts and statistics, very little applicable knowledge. Prof Snow herself is alright, but the group projects were just such a commitment for a 2 credit hour course. You're better off taking APPH1050, glad to be out of this class.

You are basically given the chance to get up to 130 points in this class and if you get at least 90 you get an A. It's easy to do and the tests are very easy with crib sheets. There are lots of projects so it takes some time but it's quite easy.

Dr. Snow is a very caring and understanding person. Though lectures may not be the most engaging, you will still learn the content that you need to know. Not a class I had to stress about. Assignments were simple but do require some effort. Can reach out to her about anything.

Hands down most boring professor I've ever taken. If I didn't have friends in the class I probably wouldn't have ever shown up to lecture. As long as you complete all the assignments do okay on the tests you should be fine; I didn't even submit the final project and got an A. Memorize powerpoints for the tests.

APPH1040 is more lecture/test/assignment based. She was an okay lecturer, but the course was extremely boring. It is graded on a points system, so you only need to accumulate 90 points over the course of the semester to get an A. There's around 120 points that you can get from assignments outside of class. Start early so you don't panic at the end!

WAY too much work for a 2 credit health class. She cares about health and her students a lot, but her boring lectures aren't fun. Tests aren't worth much, but they are based strictly on memorization of useless facts, hard to study for. Group projects, case studies, essays, guest lectures, reviews.... easy to get an A but so much work to get it.

So much extra credit in this class that its hard not to get an A. I didn't even have to take the final to get the A.

Lecture felt generally uninformative and useless. Exam questions could be from out of left field, and I found that amount of studying didn't affect my scores much. Homeworks are high quantity but exceedingly simple. Just don't forget them. Group project is important but easy enough with fairly free reign. Snow makes the course fair, not fun.

Overall, super annoying teacher with an even more annoying class. This is an engineering school, no one cares about a health class but Snow clearly doesnt understand this as she bogs the class down with pointless projects and essays.

Snow is not a bad person. In fact, I think she actually cares about her students a lot, but what makes her so disliked among students is that she takes health far too seriously. I was in section L, and we had to write papers each week, do a group project, do case studies, article critiques, etc... Soooo much work for a 2 credit hour class.

A pretty easy course--you can receive up to 4% extra credit in addition to others. As long as stay on top of easy online quizzes and assignments, the class is not difficult. PPTs (and kinda the online readings) have all needed for tests; I didn't pay attention in lectures much. There is a group assignment that is easy. Snow is pretty generous.

40% of the class grade was guest speaker lectures that required us to write a 2.5-page reflection every week and no actual material taught by the professor. Even the exams were mostly from guest speaker material. The ludicrous amount of assignments and group projects make this class extremely high stress for a 2 credit health class.

This class is like any other classes you may take at GT: lectures, homework, paper, group project, exams, etc. BUT IT SHOULDN'T BE! APPH is supposed to be one of easy classes w/o a lot of hw but this class does. She gives out high reflection (a total of 5, 4 pages each) grades but tests are a bit hard. I'm borderlining A & B after lots of effort.

Her section of the class is much more work than the same class taught by other professors. She gives the most ludicrous exams which aren't even relevant to "Health" in any way. You literally don't learn anything

Idk what all these bad reviews are about - I never go to class unless there's a guest speaker cause it sometimes shows up on the test. All you have do is study the PPTs for the tests and you'll be fine. Only 1 group project that isn't that strenuous. Weekly Pearson assignments with all of the answers on Quizlet. Very easy class with no final.
