Love Bolea, but your grade is composed of 3 exams and one paper. The exams are pretty opinionated but they're multiple choice, so it makes things super confusing. If a bunch of people go up to ask questions about one in particular, he'll just give you the answer so ASK QUESTIONS. Lectures are without powerpoint so make sure to stay focused.

Professor Bolea truly cares about his students success! This was an easy class if you go, listen to the lectures and take good notes. He does not use powerpoints but the lectures are easy to follow and then he gives you review and organizing questions and topics for the exams. I would definitely take another class with him! He's also pretty funny!

He is very nice and funny. Lectures are long and boring. He only lectures so no power points. You have to take notes to pass. I would buy the book so you can read. He would give a review sheet (not long, just basic overview) of what would be on the test. Only 3 tests and a paper so TAKE NOTES.

Professor Bolea does not provide any type of PowerPoint, all notes that you take come directly from him lecturing; therefore, it is very important to attend class. I did not use the book in this class, however, it may be useful to some. Three exams are given and one observation/research paper. Prof. Bolea is a really nice guy and genuinely cares.

All he does is lecture and doesn't give you an outline or a PowerPoint to follow. Everything on the tests is from lecture and the second semester I had him I didn't even by the book. Only grades on three 40 point tests and for 301 an additional 30 point paper so go to class. I liked his classes but not all do. You must go to class or you will fail.

Lectures are tough to get used to because he uses no powerpoints and can get on tangents sometimes. Attendance is a must if you want to pass. Only grades for the class are 3 tests. Take advantage of his office hours, he is super helpful when you ask for helpclarification.

Go to class, take notes and pass! Don't need the book. No homework or assignments, just 3 tests. His lectures are pretty interesting. Nice, funny guy. Easy A! I would take him again definitely.

Professor Bolea is amusing to say the least. Sometimes he seems to drone on and on about the given topic for the day, but he is very passionate about what he teaches and the man knows what he's talking about. You generally will not need the book for the class but attendance is a must because all the information is given verbally in class.

All lecture, very loose structure. If you're sociable and enjoy engaging topics instead of memorizing information, this is the prof for you. He mostly works using stories and examples, leading classroom discussions. Grade mostly come from essays. Be personable, you'll do great. He's also a great mentor, talk to him after class.

Very nice guy but lectures are very boring. You really have to make sure you stay focused so you can take good notes. Attend class! Only grades were the exams which was frustrating. But if you take decent notes, you will be just fine.

Still not clear how lectures related to adjustment other than our last class about adjusting to inevitable lifelong stress, but I REALLY enjoyed him. So kind and helpful, a genuine person. Lectures were something not used to but it was super easy if you have knowledge of psychology. Look for the big picture in lecture stories. 2 easy exams, 10 hw.

Lectures were boring and had no structure what soever, it was impossible to take notes. The writing assignments were pointless and exams were hard. I probably could have done better in the class if prof boleas lectures weren't so hard to follow.

Does have notes/power points/ANYTHING. Only lectures and tells stories unrelated to material making it impossible to pass the class. I attended every class, took great, detailed notes, and did all things necessary to pass just about any class and still managed to get a 54% on his first exam. The rest of the exams were not much better. DO NOT TAKE!!

I liked Professor Bolea and this course. Really unstructured lecture style, so be sure to take good notes; as long as you do that, you'll do fine on the exams (so don't skip lecture). You only have 4 grades; 3 exams and a paper. Bryan is super nice though and will help you if you need it. Textbook not needed.

Professor Bolea is great! His class is extremely interesting and he literally gives you everything you need to know in class. If you take great notes you will get an A. The book is not necessarily needed, but may help with some of his minor clarity issues. With that the class is not technically "easy" but he gives you every chance to succeed.

All lecture-based. Need to attend class in order to pass. Textbook is not necessary. Total class is out of 120 points (although ours was only 80) no practice available only exam. Prof is very unorganized and doesn't answer questions. i won't not recommend.

Great Prof. Lots of stories and examples that make the material easy to remember. If you actually study his test are pretty easy.. don't think you know everything tho because it is "deceptitvely hard" Offered Extracredit for weekly quizzes on tumblr story topics. Very entertaining!
