Comment:
Easy class to take for credit, but pretty useless otherwise. Prof. is hard to approach and talk to, acts like she is doing you a huge favor by teaching. You have to take many notes, from which you study for tests. No notes bad grade. Textbook is kinda useless except for outlines. Gives extra credit. Mostly talks about herself and her studies.

Professor Stolba is strange and rude. Do not take this class unless you have no choice. The information is useless unless you have some burning passion for anthropology. She is a sub-par professor at best and it was very difficult to sit through her intellectually-absent lectures. The tests and lectures are often unrelated. Avoid this prof.

This prof is MIND-NUMBING! If you are at all an intellectual person- DO NOT TAKE! The material is completely worthless and I often question if anything she says is true. Avoid this class unless you absolutely have to take it. The tests and lectures do not sync up at all and she makes you learn some bizarre outline format you will never use again.

She is a great teacher, simple letures to follow but are followed by tests that cost a lot of your grade. It is all in the lectures though. She is funny and passionate of her job. Would take again

Professor Stolba is not very intelligent either in or field nor as a professor. She does not have the ability to properly teach, she just drones on in her rants about how she was the one who really wrote her textbook, how she has all these degrees. Though as we all know from our experience you can be a good student yet a horrific teacher.

She's a good professor. I enjoyed her lectures, she usually has interesting stories. Try to get the same exact format for the outlines as in the syllabus and make the changes she suggest when she checks your rough draft. For the exams just memorize all the stuff she tells you to memorize or mentions in the review. Overall pretty reasonable.

Beware of this Professor. She makes you purchase a mediocre at best textbook that she personally wrote so she can collect that profit, which is a nightmare to read if youre an English major. If she doesnt like your personality she will find a way to fail you. Tests are completely different from the lectures. Youve been warned.

Stolba have a lot of knowledge in this field. She is very knowledgeable and has ran many studies. If you are going into Anthropology she is the perfect professor for you. The class rules are clear, if notes are taken and outlines are done you should pass the class just fine. Make sure to study for the test, we have a review day them.

Professor Stolba is a savage(: It's impossible to fail her class unless you don't take notes. 4 exams and no homework at all which is super awesome. Another thing I loved about her is that she doesn't push anyone to believe in evolution or put christians down for believing in God. I'm a christian and I really respected that about her.

Stoba is a very understanding professior. She gives 4 test and 2 outlines per each test. You will need to do a zoo report. She doesn't give out homework. She wants perfect format on the outlines. She does a reivew day before the test. Shes doesn't like when ppl come in late so thats the only time when shes rude. Over all you need to study and get A

I did not enjoy this class at all. Lectures were lengthy and disinteresting. Half of her lectures are just personal stories and attendance is required/worth points. She does give review sessions before exams which are helpful. Overall, I would not take this class again or recommend it to another student.

Shes the most rude professor Ive ever had. She makes it hard to approach her outside of class because she will be unnecessarily rude to you and make you feel stupid. I simply asked to look at the grade sheet in an email which she rudely responded that she didnt understand why I didnt already see it. Her voice is monotone and uninteresting.

She is the worst professor I have ever had! She is rude and unclear. She does not care if you do not understand. If you ask questions be prepared to be called stupid multiple times in front of the whole class. Either take a different class or keep your head down and read the book, because she will not teach you.

Dr Stolba was such a fun professor to have. Her class is an easy A if you can simply memorize small facts, she literally tells you exactly what is on the tests each time. The work is easy too, you just need to do it and follow her directions and you'll get an A. Super fun and easy class

Dr. Stolba is definitely experienced and a wonderful teacher with humor. She does tend to share a lot of her stories related to her work in the field. Show up to class and take notes, she reads questions right off the tests and gives you the answers. Extra credit is offered so take it up!!!
