Taking this lab as an online course was difficult since we couldn't do any hands-on work, but this professor was always available for assignment-related questions. She also gave good feedback on lab reports so students could do well on quizzes. Micro is a tough class, so make sure to study each lab introduction and review basic bio concepts.

she literally complained about me using my computer to look at the PowerPoint. she talks slow, her voice gets annoying. she makes you feel dumb when you answer a question wrong. she will also keep talking even after she sees that the class is over. don't ask her for any kind of review, if she doesn give it out because she will say its against rules

She is absolutely the worse professor. If you have the opportunity to be with another professor, DO IT! She does not clearly explain the material. She talks very low and goes quickly through the material as if we are the ones with a master's degree in science. Also gives attitude when you ask questions. You teach yourself.

Everyday I regret taking her though she was my LAST option. If she's yours? Find another for next semester. Lectures are draining, she talks low, misspells words and is very unkind. Make ONE mistake she tells you you're going to fail the entire course. "it's not rocket science" Answer wrong? Figure it out, she won't explain. Teach yourself

I received an I after the second time taking her course because she went back on her word about when the final was scheduled. I missed my RN applications. I wish I never took her twice. You'll only like this class if Micro IS YOUR MAJOR. She's the kind of smart person that's not a very good teacher. You can be smart but can't educated. She's proof.

This the biggest regret I've had as far as prof. Not possible to achieve an A if not your only class. Monotone. Read from Powerpoint. No reviews. Patronizing. I studied hard, and still. Lectures don't line up with exams. Just bulked info to pick from . Just please take anyone else, especially if you are getting a grade for Nursing like myself.

Unprofessional, openly negative attitude, condescending and derisive towards students. Goes back on her word: watched her okay well in advance a student who had to travel out of country and miss one day, then promptly dropped said student upon returning. Her general attitude just screams dissatisfaction and she doesn't even want to be there

Challenging class that requires a lot of attention. Prof. expects you to have retained what you learned in basic/intro bio. Lectures can be dry, so it helps to have an interest in micro to begin with. I wouldn't recommend taking this class as part of a full-time schedule; take it with maybe only 1 or 2 other classes at most. Her lab is okay too.

Professor is very knowledgeable, but she skips way too many slides and don't elaborate on things that should've been taught in class. If you have not taken a biology class recently do not take her class. She expects you to know biology as if it's the only class you've ever taken in your life. The exams can be tricky. Study A LOT for her class!!!

RUN ! Overall Professor Wiersema is a nice lady but her lectures are so boring and she is so monotone. She reads straight off of the power point and doesn't elaborate on things. Her class is hard work and requires HOURS of studying, she does offer extra credit and drops your lowest test grade, but if you do not work hard YOU WILL NOT PASS SO BEWARE
