She likes you to write in a very specific way, but is not very clear about it unless you go out of your way to ask a lot of questions. She also isn't clear with her critiques, she graded me down on something the entire semester and didn't tell me until the last class.

Prof Daly is a very nice lady and willing to help if you ask, but doesn't help your grade. Journals are easy, but everything else she grades very hard. Median grade is 3.0 or 3.3, 3.7 if you do really well. She refuses to give out 4.0's because "no writing is perfect". She teaches you a lot, but doesn't help your GPA. I would not suggest.

Great english professor! The class is very structured and she outlines her assignments very clearly. She asks a lot of rhetorical questions that make you think about how to set up your papers. Impossible to get a perfect grade, but she really pushes you to try hard. She also edits every paper and allows you to fix them.

She was a tough grader but if you follow the guidelines she gives out it is easy to get a 3.7 but a 4.0 is impossible. There are no tests or final for this class just a few papers that only reach he extent of 5 pages. Great teacher although she sighs constantly throughout class!

She was a very nice woman, don't get me wrong. However, she does NOT believe in giving A's EVER. You can have the perfect paper and won't receive an A. She also doesn't explain things very well and ALWAYS answers your question with a question. Not the worst Expos teacher, but deinitely could have had better. Nice woman though.

She's extremely opinionated. Claims no one gets an A in her class. Says taking notes are key to writing, yet doesn't teach you how to take them until the end of the semester. Very unfair grader, grades you on if you agree with her or if you can come up with a wacky story. Terrible professor. I expect a 3.3 possible a 3.7 but ive worked really hard

Some people really can't stand her..but I kinda like her. She's nice once you get to know her and she really knows her stuff. She definitely helped my writing improve a lot. She accepts assignments late and helps you if you ask. She is quite opinionated though, and you must be of the belief that humans are killing the earth through global warming

this is by far the worst class i have taken, she is a unfair grader, you get papers every single class and she critiques your papers to the fullest extent, imposing her opinion on you to get you to see things her way, and she is never satisfied. beware this class, this class will completely damper my gpa

For Exp 101, she gives out essays basically every class. It really is not that bad except it is hard to understand the reading sometimes. Pay attention to how she describes essay structure and use it in your essays.

She comes off as kinda crazy. She's a very animated person. She's quite nice but is a hard grader, getting an A is near impossible (she tells you this btw). She sighs a lot and its kinda funny. Overall, she's your average english teacher.

Do not take this class. She has no concept of what is acceptable for an assignment and is more concerned with the process than the product. And then when the product is submitted, she grades very harshly. It is painful to sit through her class as she teaches on the assumption that her students are incompitant. DO NOT DO IT.

I took this class as a freshmen and she did a good job adjusting us to college level work. She is a tough grader, which made me think that I was doing a lot worse in the class than I actually was. If you go in and talk to her, you will see that she is actually a very nice lady, and if she likes you, she will curve things to give you a good grade.

If you don't have a strong background in writing, I don't suggest taking this class. If you work hard and listen to her suggestions, you'll do fine. She's a nice lady, she just doesn't always accept other people's ideas. If you want an easy A don't take this, but I did actually benefit from this class. I got a 4.0 but it took a lot of work.

Just don't. I worked my a.. off and got a 2.3 in her class.. It is so boring that after spring break, I would go out to smoke a cigarette twice during her class. You will never get higher than a B+ in her class...

man if you take this class, just don't expect to get a 4.0, she will never give anybody a perfect grade on any assignment, if you can write decently and do all the work, a 3.0 is pretty easily attainable. You will hear her sigh so much that you will wanna slap her, if you want to find out wat that means, take her class.
