I truly wish you could have more than three tags because this professor is excellent. Out of all the biology courses I took at the college this was by far the most enjoyable course I had, and there was a lot to learn; it was lotta fun. Kathy is an incredible instructor and extremely fair.

Izasa told me the first week of Micro, "you can sit in my class but I am going to fail you." She and Simmons maliciously forced me to withdraw with a 4.0 GPA. I retook the course with Kathy Knapik and received the highest grade in the class. If you study you will pass. She goes out of her way to help students succeed.

I am taking her right now and i've got to say I studied hard for the first two tests and got a D on both so far. She does not drop your lowest grade and is not clear on what exactly is gonna be on the test (including charts). A lot of memorization but she isn't exactly a bad professor. Tests are tricky, 4 in total with a final.

Prof. Knapik was a great teacher for micro! The content may be tough, but she is always willing to help outside of class. Her lectures can be a bit boring but she cracks some jokes. Record the lectures and study/rewrite powerpoints before each exam and you can get an A! She doesn't give study guides but she gives practice quizzes with each Ch.

Professor Knapik is a great professor and really loves what she does. Her lectures are interesting and engaging. shes really funny and tells jokes and makes learning enjoyable. But her tests are a bit tricky. I would have been able to have gotten an A if i just knew the little things she mentioned (treatments/antibiotics) a bit more

I am a straight A student (besides knapiks class) and although I got a D on every micro exam, she still passed me with a C. If you have to take micro, I suggest taking it with her. She's hard but straightforward. If you email her with any concerns she's quick to help.

Excellent professor. One of the best. Prof. Knapik really wants you to succeed. She make every effort to help, encourages participation and makes Micro interesting. The book is self published and reasonably priced. But mainly you need to study the slides and notes. If you study you will do well. Her exams are not easy but no zingers.

She is a very educated and knows really well the material. Micro is hard, but she tries to give many examples to make sure we understand. Encourages students to seek help and ask questions. She has her own book, which she gives out on first day of class. Power points are also great. Study hard and you will pass.

Professor Knapik is one of the best professors I've ever had. She doesn't just lecture, she teaches using various techniques to encourage retention of the material. Lectures are made interesting with real life examples. Humor is injected to lighten the mood. Plenty of support materials are provided to make learning easier. Love her. Take her.

Genuinely wants her students to learn and get the concepts. Her exams aren't tricky but tests you on your understanding. 5 exams but they aren't overwhelming. You can bring your own notes on the 3rd exam. She made me more interested in Microbiology and until now I still remember some of the lessons. No textbooks needed

This woman is amazing. Seriously, she is so amazing I switched my major from nursing to Microbiology after taking her class. I had an 8am class with her, and by the end of the semester I was excited to get up and go to it. She is so passionate about this subject her students can't help but feel her excitement. Highly recommend her, one of the best!
