The class is boring, if you're not into it, but honestly its an easy A. he gives you exactly whats on the mid term and final, gives you a chance to pre right your essay and have him check it. Theres no way you could fail this class. He will help if you need it! Less than 30 min studying for each test (only 2), and he gives a review before the test!

This class was torture. I love philosophy but he just rambles and doesn't move on to other topics for weeks. He only gives 2 tests and those are all the grades for the semester, which is okay because they're relatively easy. Avoid taking his class at all costs you do not want a full semester of listening to an old befuddled man mumble to himself.

This professor is absolutely horrible. He is unorganized; rude to students; no one could understand his handwriting - notes all over the board and all a mess. He made NO sense. I took Intro to Philosophy. Only 2 grades - a midterm and a final. Do not take this professor.

He talks in circles and spends almost the whole class period on one small argument. His notes on the board are illogical and his handwriting is illegible. Most of the class is spent with him talking, not really giving anyone else a chance to talk. The tests are easy if you study even a little bit. For the most part his class makes my head spin.

Took the hybrid course. It's basically pointless to even go to the classes because he just regurgitates what is already said in the online lectures. His notes and thoughts are sloppy and disorganized. Never really made clear what was expected of us. On the upside, he's a nice guy one on one, tries to be helpful, generous grader.

Very easy class but he seems to talk in circles. Not strict on attendance. If you try to prove him wrong he will come up with a long answer to confuse you or he will change the subject.

I feel bad for him. He really tries to make himself clear but he's the furthest from it. I think if he spent less time talking "at" the class, and spent more time letting everybody participate in discussions, the material would not come across as stiff or dry.

I have to admit he'll make your head spin when it comes to note taking. BUT he is a really easy teacher and I don't think its possible for anyone to get lower than an A- in his classes. He's not very fond of ignorant people though. The best part of class was hearing him argue with this stupid girl in my class.

Good Professor online. Lectures every week which were clear and easy to understand. Some concepts were tough to pick up just reading, but that's the difficulty with online courses. Test format was difficult at times due to his use of email but not impossible. Kept in touch and had a clear outline for the semester, which is important online IMO.

Most confusing professor I have EVER had!! Your notes will be all over the place. He nearly chops your head off if you have a question that doesn't agree with what he might have just said.. the only reason and way I got such a good grade was because I had to come home and have my dad teach me the topic

This man is the epitome of "stereotypical philosophy professor". Looks like Mark Twain. Obviously brilliant, but can lapse into extreme awkwardness if the class is giving him a bad vibe. But all in all, a really good guy with really interesting ideas. It's true that you only get out what you put it, and in this class that was the absolute truth

Had him online. He is probably better in class. Doesnt do too good of a job online, just gives lectures to read and then u have to post a discussion about 80 words but nobody does bcos u really need more 2 answer his Q's. He gives 2 tests in jumbeled text format & thats it 4 your grade. wish he gave weekly quizzes online so we knew what to expect:(

OH MY GOD. ridiculous. Im in his survey of islam class, and i cant understand a THING he says!! its a night class so we're there for about 2 hours, and i sleep every time in in there (at least he doesnt mind about that). very standoffish if you bring up something he doesnt agree with, which is stupid in a class about controversy.

He's weird. I come in that class and I come out with an incomplete thought. It's like he talks but doesn't have a point. He tells us to read from the textbook, but then sometimes he doesn't even go over the reading. My least favorite class.

Interesting personality, seemed irritated/impatient most of the time. He teaches what you need to know for tests in class. I found the class difficult because he's all over the place, but in the end, with a lot of studying, i got an A.

Class missed the mark. There was no clear structure to the course, and it was kind of dumbed down to the extent that youl couldn't appreciate the material. Great mind, very approachable (not to mention brilliant) but he rambled and was funny to watch in a mad scientist kind of way. The class will not clarify anything.
