Regret regret regret, WORST professor Ive ever had. Keep in mind Ive been a straight-A full time student for 3 semesters now. Hes funny but is it really worth it when he fails over half his class? Dont think so.

It is amazing how you could sit in a class for a whole semester with this professor and not learn a thing. He goes over everything so fast, and gets annoyed if you ask him how he got his answer. He expects you to show all work, yet he will not show his work where it counts making for confusing lectures. Absolutely horrible.

1. his accent is heavy 2. during the lecture he skips how exactly he got an answer. If its your 1st time learning the material it will be difficult. I had to go home and learn myself. 3. On tests he marks you off for the smallest things - assigns homework but flips through the pages 2 see if youve attempted probs! Sign in sheet end of class

he's not the WORST professor out there. that being said, he's not good either. he's a nice guy, jokes a lot and is willing to help you. he does have a heavy accent which wasn't so much of a problem for me but his classes are really boring, he gives out A L O T of homework and he is a really tough grader.

Probably one of the worst math teachers in the department at SMC. His accent is thick, and his teaching skill is too poor. There's a lot of homework, pop quizzes at random days, and he does not drop the lowest grade for your exams. I basically self studied the entire semester and it was horrible.

Extremely dissapointed. His strong accent and constant homework load was not an issue, nor traits to negatively review somone over, my problem was his lack of teaching skill. He does not pace his teaching, if you have a question or don't understand he will leave you behind. ALL that I have learned has been by tutors and my own will, not him.

Prof. Wang really cares about his students and wants everyone to pass his class. If you show up, do your homework, participate in class and go to his office hours for help, you can still pass with a good grade even if your test scores are not great!

First, he has a strong Chinese accent. But he's aware and jokes about it. Assigns a lot of homework but if you do it, you will know the material. But the homework is not mandatory. Grade is based on 4 tests and a final exam. I had a lot of trouble understanding the first few weeks of class. But he goes the extra mile to make sure you will succeed.

Prof. Wang is a really nice guy who wants everyone to pass but isn't the best prof. if u arent familiar with the material. If you're extremely bad at math then dont take him. If you fooled around in high school and now need to retake, then all the hw you'll do for this class will benefit u & you'll leave this class understanding what u once didn't.

You MUST buy the book in order to pass this class! Or go to the library every single day and rent the textbook. He does have a big accent but you can understand what he is saying for the most part. I recommend you read before going to the next lecture and FORM A STUDY GROUP! He's very kind and understanding. Very funny professor! He's not that bad.

Professor Wang definitely gives homework, but it really makes you better at math. His accent scared me at first because I didn't think I would be able to understand him clearly enough. Turned out not to be a problem. He is always willing to help a student and his jokes are cheesy, but that made him even more funny.

I was always good at math in high school but in this class, especially towards the ending it gets very hard to understand him. I don't recommend him, especially if you're not that good in the math category.

Yes he has an accent, but if you really want to pass and do good, it is doable. many people dropped halfway through semester, like many classes, and toward the end class was fun and easy. he really doesn't mind helping, its just a class you have to concentrate in every minute due to accent.. If youre good at math, then the textbook should be enough

I agree with many other reviewers, that his thick accent makes him difficult to understand. His class is fast paced, probably because my class meets 2 days a week. He constantly invites students to stay after class and ask him questions from the homework. It seems he wants his students to understand the material and succeed.

It's hard to understand because of his accent, he gives A LOT of homework,has an attitude problem sometimes,he answer questions, you can leave whenever you want but I say wait until you sign the attendance sheet. Since I did great in math throughout high school this class wasn't hard. But for those who think math is hard,ask the teacher or peer.

Soooo hard to understand. I'm having a hard time in this class. I compared my notes to a friend taking the same class with a different professor and she seems to be on track and understanding. I get more of an understanding from the book.
