She talks really fast and won't slow down, she'll just joke about how fast she talks. Spanish is her first language and she won't dial it down for you to understand. If you've never taken an actual Spanish class before don't take her. I took it in Highschool for two years and I'm still struggling.

So much HW and tests! She doesnt answer emails and makes you feel stupid if you ask questions. If you miss class or answer a question wrong she'll call you out in class. CHECK WILEY because she randomly assigns HW. She offers no feedback, help, she's really bad unless you already know some spanish. Take someone else! She caused me a lot of anxiety.

so so so so soooooo much homework. check wiley like ur life depends on it. tests were a little tricky sometimes but the final was a joke it was so basic and there was extra credit offered. the homeworks give a lot of easy points and usually didnt take too long with a couple exceptions. lots of repeated questions in them too. easy A for me

If you want to have a horrible semester just take this class. I can guarantee you will regret taking her. She even doesn't reply to your E-mails and it's online class how we supposed to communicate. Just a horrible professor.

If taking this online please expect to have random assignments due at any point throughout the week & at any time. The ENTIRETY of this class is based on Wileyplus homework and quizzes. The weekly syllabus is generally pointless, it goes out Tuesday to tell you about quizzes due Wednesday. & there is no chapter reviews. Grades are rarely updated.

I have lived in the UK for over 10 years. Every time I go to Spain and speak Spanish at least one person will tell me I have a Latin American accent!!!! Although I am pretty good in German and Russian my Spanish (I have to speak Russian to my in-laws!) my Spanish has proven good enough to chat up women in bars in Spain.

Taking her for my first two college language classes was the best decision ever! I had not ever taken Spanish classes before and with a little studying and lots of notes, I aced the class and really genuinely learned a lot. Menes is super smart and funny, the 1.5 hour session A/B classes fly by.

I love Dulce Menes! Since she's from Cuba, she talks very fast so it can be hard to follow along sometimes. Overall, you will learn a lot from her and she is hilarious and positive. I must warn you though she is not the easiest Spanish teacher, you need to put in some work and study to get an A or B.

She's not the easiest - you do have work for an A or B. However, that being said, she's an EASY grader. Just when you think you're going to get a "D" you end up with a "B" and that's a great feeling. Even though it's not a blow off class, and she's generally disorganized, and doesn't post grades, she's a VERY nice lady who wants you to succeed.

Horribly disorganized and under-prepared. She DOES NOT prepare you well at all for her exams. Resources and help is limited. The whole class had no idea what was going on. The textbook is unhelpful, and you're not provided with the tools necessary for learning a FOREIGN language- ex: very few homeworks assigned. Very little practice and worksheets.

She is wonderful! Her lectures are amazing and I learned how to speak spanish. Her tests are easy if you know how to translate and communicate in spanish instead of speaking English. She talks fast but i understood her and asked for help and she was helpful. If you like spanish then take her because she is good.

Her quizzes are pretty tricky but they help you get ready for the tests which are easier. She talks fast but she is fantastic, I really enjoyed Spanish and learned how to communicate in spanish. This class is not just a translation class, it's also a communication class.

Quizzes are hard, but they prepare you for the tests which are much easier. She talks fast, but she is hilarious & the opposite of boring! Only SPAN teacher Ive ever had that I actually learned from! Before taking her I was dreading SPAN, but now I think that if I had taken her earlier in my college career I probably would have minored in SPAN!

I took higher level classes before this one and thought this would be an easy A. I'm a native Spanish speaker and found her way of teaching very different than anything I have experienced. I wouldn't call it teaching, but more of a conversation class where she has OCD over accents. Others like her style but the book is so different from her tests.
