Crams up a lot of material. Expects a lot from you when she can't deliver. PPT are long, boring, useless. No matter how many notes one take, it will never match with tests. Assigns seating. Puts students down, quizzes. Lab materials, changes on the final. Doesn't give you enough time to answer tests that can't be figured due to her lack of teaching

The lectures are very rushed and key information is not emphasized on her powerpoints. Her attitude toward the class and her ability to inspire are lacking. There was suppose to be two finals in the class over two days. These were combined into one day, which resulted in minimal time to complete the test. Worst Professor Ever

Uses up whole class time and still behind in class. Crams a lot of material in. Lecture presentations are useless and you won't get to take adequate notes. Assigned seating in college. Final was horriffic since she doesn't give enough time for answering questions. Tests are 2-3 parts: mapping, lab and lecture. Lecture quiz every class.

She is very passionate about the subject, but she's not a great lecturer. If you can, take an audio recording do it. Her powerpoint presentation are very bare boned and you really have to pay attention to what she is saying and try get all down. Also, very particular about grading. Quiz almost every class. She also talks down to students a lot.

I took for Marine Bio Fall 2014, really thought I had liked the subject beforehand, but she makes it pretty miserable. I feel bad saying that because she seems so sweet, but then she'll snap every so often and talks down to students. Wasn't even able to answer some questions I had, and admitted it. Her labs arent even real labs.

Very difficult class. You must remember every tiny detail of each lecture, plus everything that is in the textbook. She is very particular about wording and phrasing, and requires complete sentences no matter if the answer is only 1 word. Very strict and tough grader, no mercy! Lab exams are insane, your memory has to be on point! Beware.

Not an easy teacher, so don't take this class expecting an easy A. She is very passionate about marine biology, and it shows in her lectures, which you can record if you ask. Read the book, study, and ask a lot of questions, and you'll do fine. I loved this class!

Is a very challenging class. I highly recommend for students serially thinking of majoring in marine biology. If your lazy or just looking for the easy class don't take it. She actually expects you to read the book. If you take notes and read the book you will be fine.

Took her Marine Bio & got a C! Very disappointing,I tried really hard, and don't usually get C's. Her grading doesn't make sense, she doesn't clarify it, and never let's you have your old tests back. She constantly contradicts herself as well. It's hard to know what question is right. Don't take her! This class is BS.

Very detail-oriented. She expects her students to remember every single detail of every single thing. Essay tests are nearly impossible to receive full points unless you are her taking the test. Just taking lecture notes is not going to cut it. You must work more in her class. I was told the other teacher that teaches marine bio is much easier

Ya she runs her class like Stalin Russia.. But she knows her Subject very well and is very passionate about it. With that said I do not think she realizes that shes teaching an undergrad GE course and no one gives a crap. Be prepared to study tons! Ultimately you will remember none of it...except maybe a lil info from in-class videos. Good Luck!

DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. SHE HAS NO HEART. SHE IS COLD, BITTER, EVIL, AND HAS NO MERCY ON HER STUDENTS--EVEN THE GOOD ONES. THE LAST THING ON HER MIND IS STUDENT SUCCESS. OH AND SHE GIVES OUT 3PG 8PT FONT STUDY GUIDES. AND GUESS WHAT? NONE OF THE MATERIAL WILL BE ON THE EXAMS :(

If you want to be treated like a child, with assigned seating, zero tolerance for being late or leaving before 10PM (its a NIGHT class-people have jobs/lives), coloring books, and endless memorization of every single bird that flies near water, then take this class. If you are interested in marine bio, don't let her ruin it for you.

I took this summer session and I thought the teacher was very dedicated to marine biology. She was nice and I studied all summer long and passed with an A. Its not that hard, I think alot of people just aren't studying and reading the book! She already curved without us knowing which was great :)

Nice lady but her class is very difficult. Unless you have perfect memorization skills, I would avoid this class. Lecture isn't very clear and there are a lot of trips for her summer session. Study guides given for the test don't always cover all the material that is on the exam. Lab exams are ridiculous. Test grading is confusing and inconsistent.

this class has a lot of info that we are to remember. If you don't have the time to sit & understand this stuff, then don't bother taking it. The teacher was good, I actually like her though there was many immature students in her class always complaining how hard it is since they were to lazy to study. its college if its not for you then drop out
