Comment:
Beatriz is very sweet and her expectations are pretty low. She is always there if you have further questions. Extra credit is available too so its an easy A/-A. The class can be pretty frustrating though because it does not aline with the syllabus dates and instructions for papers and projects are never clear. She honestly seems pretty confused too

She is a nice lady and very understanding. I once missed a test and she let me make it up. She does speak quickly but you will catch on eventually. She is fairly unorganized and forgets to collect most of the assignments. She pushes deadlines back by months. Overall if you show up and do the diary entries you'll get an A

Beatriz is a very kind person however she is not the best teacher. She speaks very fast spanish the entire class (She is a native speaker) so it is hard to follow. She is very disorganized and never collects any of the homework. Your grade is basically based on attendance alone. This class is an easy A as long as you show up.

This class was one of the worst I had to take. She doesn't follow the syllabus, she complains about being behind, but she is the reason we are behind. She is so unclear of what is required and then springs about work like 2 classes before it is due. Just try to avoid.

Definitely an overrated professor compared to the score on here. Nice lady, but she is extremely unclear about requirements, doesn't follow the syllabus plans at all, and has zero control over her classroom. Perhaps compared to other professors, she isn't too bad, but if disorganization is an issue for you, avoid her.

Easiest grader I think I have ever had. Just pay attention in class and participate and you will get an A. Had not taken Spanish since sophomore year in high school and got all A's on tests and quizzes. hard to understand her but she does not expect much.

I love Betty! If she likes you, the class is an easy A. We had three "tests" aka quizzes and barely any homework. She's been all over the world and really knows what she's talking about. I'm really sad that I'm a senior and won't get to take another class with her. Best spanish professor on campus.

I wouldn't take her class over again if given the chance. Talks over students constantly, doesn't really teach you anything. Very nice lady but talks about her cats waaaaayyy too much, only talks in Spanish which is fine if you understand the words (half of which you won't know at this level) Goes over grammar once then you don't see it again.

She is extremely nice but also very hard to understand. She is unclear with assignments and due dates. Class is boring .. she loves to talk about her cats. Loved her as a person, hated her as a professor. Easy to pass if you study.

Sometimes she is very disorganized, and she speaks Spanish pretty much all the time. If you want to get an A in her class, participate a lot. I feel as though she gave A's to those she talked to the most in class. Tests aren't very hard and class time is spent doing exercises in the book.

WORST professor ever, literally dropped the class because of her. She is very sincere and kind but she has no idea how to teach. Only take this class if you know fluent, fast paced spanish because that is all she speaks. Very unorganized as well. It's a shame because I love spanish and was looking forward to taking that class too.

She is very friendly and easy going. I would recommend her class if you want an easy A. Only problem there would be is if you don't know spanish, because the entire class is in spanish. But either way you will do just fine with Google Translate lol

Unless you want to hear about cats the whole time, don't take 301 with her. She is very unclear about due dates and will always change them last minute, even though there wasn't already a set one. I don't think she follows what the Oswego catalog says about this class - it's all about the history of Spain instead of grammar and conversation.. AVOID

She genuinely cares about helping her students. Work is relatively easy, just make sure you do it all and you should be okay. Definitely one of the best professors in the language department. Made it fun to learn more Spanish.

Literally such an amazing professor! She is so sweet and really cares about how her students understand the material. I highly recommend this class, even if you arent that great wih spanish. I never got below a 95 on anything she gave out, including tests. Work load is so easy too. Take this professor if you need a language!!

Very easy grader and doesn't keep to due dates at all. She teaches but you don't really learn anything. Tests are assignments that you have done in class in groups so if you show up and pay attention you do well. Overalll very low key and recommended.

She's a bit unorganized and loves to rant. I'd like it if she explained in English more of what she was doing. The only thing I can say is that listening to a native Spanish speaking teacher has helped with my comprehension. She seems to cover a lot of material but she only speaks in Spanish. Me and my friends go to a tutor to learn.

Unless if you speak fluent Spanish you will almost certainly do poorly in this class. She just talks and talks and doesnt really care whether you're paying attention or not. It's not even like you can raise your hand and aks what she just said because ALL she does is speak Spanish. Horrible class, would not reccomend.

all over the place type of professor. she made me nervous when she tought, she would start talking about one thing and ended with another. the class was more about spain than the actual language.
