He definitely means well I just wish he did something besides lecture. Thats literally all you do for 2 hours is listen to him talk. I feel like a lot of what he talks about isnt even stuff we need to know and isnt on the tests. For me, its extremely hard to follow along with the lectures because he stops mid sentence and loses his thought.

Professor Fairey is a really solid choice and I would definitely recommend taking a class and have him as the Instructor. He genuinely cares for all of his students and makes that explicitly during the duration of the course. My only complaint is that he is extremely lecture heavy and will do so from start to finish. Show up, show effort, Pass.

Mr. Fairey is super easy, but his lectures are extremely EXTREMELY BORING. His intentions mean well and he does hope the best for his students. He gives examples and talk about how important your ancestry is. Tests are really easy, some open book and take home! Even though class is boring he gives valuable information!

Very great guy, all the negative reviews are from History Majors. This man is a blessing to Midlands Tech. He only gives out 3 tests, and 2 are take home.

This class was difficult for me only because I despise history, but Prof. Fairey is very interesting and likable. He's a walking encyclopedia & he teaches life lessons that'll last your whole life. Lots of lecture time. Teaches mostly straight from the book. Put forth a tad of effort and you'll make an A.

Awesome history professor, very passionate about history. Be prepared to read material BEFORE coming to class or he will call you out on it. Tests are fairly easy but, lectures are long. Gives good lectures along with life lessons. I would take him again!

Fairey was one of my first professors as a freshman. He is very passionate about the material, funny, and super knowledgable. If you love to learn, his classes are a no-brainer. He gives amazing lectures with advice that you will take with you later in life and truly cares about his students. Fairey is very respected by us here at CCTC. He rocks!

He is kind of hard to understand and his lectures are extremely boring. Many of his tests were short answer and fill in the blank which was difficult for me because history is my worst subject. I recommend reading the chapters on your own and taking your own notes.

Heavy reading is mandatory, his tests are difficult and long. Overall the course isn't too bad, but a good amount of work is required for an A. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about history, lectures were interesting. However, class time will be 100% lectures, so that may bore some.

Teacher is is very involved in his classes. Reading is expected and is very benificial to student. do not take this class if you don't want to read or desire to be lazy. Test will be detailed. Teacher is very nice and fair. If you study and are responsible you should not have a problem.

Mr. Fairey is the easiest His teacher! Yeah he may fly off and talk about anything but history, but he helps you out a lot!! Automatic 20 points on the tests. Take home were hard but as long as you put an effort you get a good grade. The paper was an easy A. I got B, only if I pushed myself little harder on a test, I could have gotten an A.TAKE HIM

He's a pretty good instructor. Very passionate and knowledgeable about history. He never flew off the handle in any of our classes. Yes he got upset sometimes when people would be completely lazy or act like they didn't understand ANYTHING. Surprisingly, I found history interesting. Oh and he's pretty lenient on grading if you make an effort.

Class was miserable and he flew off the handle about everything. We had to sit like zombies in class and listen to him talk for 2 hours straight and learned nothing. The tests covered nothing he talked about in class. The final exam had 4 chapters we didn't get to and like all the other tests, we had one day to cram. Test questions last minute.

Class is NOT easy and borest teacher I've had. Tests R hard. 1st test n class even though open book, questions HARD. 2nd take home test really hard and all short answers w/essay. Grades research paper strict. Final departmental exam 25 multiple choice. Than he gives you his own final exam consisting of 25 short answers. Do not take professor.

I am currently enrolled in this class. Let me just say that so far, everything that others said before me was totally true. He is an easy teacher but it is so hard to pay attention in his class because at times he gets to be really boring. But I do find the course interesting but I think that is because I take a little interest in history.
