she was honestly amazing. we had weekly discussions and 4 exams. all you have to do is watch the lectures a couple of times and you'll be good. I highly recommend.

Taken during COVID so it was online. One discussion a week, lectures recorded every week to watch (I watched these and didn't need the textbook-DONT BUY IT). One paper at the end. No other assignments. Exams are a bit tough but doable. 2nd time taking her and I like her teaching style. She's very nice.

I mean, she's fine, but the exams are often confusingly worded and the lectures can get dry at times. Her grading isn't unreasonable, but in an era with rampant grade inflation from other professors, the points matter. If you don't know enough about psych to skip some classes (a lot of it is repetitive), she might be a good choice. 3.5/5.

4 exams, not too hard. one discussion a week, responses are optional and the disc q's are actually interesting and promote discussion. no homework assignments, bunch of lectures a week, and one term paper at the end (if you're undergrad). very kind and helpful professor, willing to work with you, lenient on late work.

The video lectures and powerpoints are key to success. Just watch the videos and take notes in the margins. The book wasn't really necessary, very few test questions were pulled from there. Optional paper to replace the lowest exam grade. As long as you watch the lectures and review your notes the exams are not surprising. Not a super tough grader

This class was one of the worst classes Ive ever taken at UMD. The curriculum of the class was a mess. It was an online course with tests given on campus which is fine, however, the tests are 40 multiple choice questions based off 4 chapters which were not clear at all. The class should not have been offered online since it was taught so poorly.

the tests are not as hard as everyone is saying, just watch the video lectures and you should be fine. drops the lowest test/paper. video lectures are interesting and only exams are in person. i only used the textbook to write the paper but it's not really necessary. just print the powerpoints and write down extra notes in the margins, easy class

I would say prof Wrobel is roughly above average. She is what you would expect from a professor for this class. Abnormal contains a lot of information, and it makes trying to sympathize all of the information difficult, but this prof does her best to distill the info into the most component parts. Tests are difficult but manageable, do the paper.

The PowerPoints are really dry and its hard to find the class interesting. Shes a tough grader on the paper and the essay on exams so be careful. I wish I never took this class with her

Wrobel is a great professor. I'm not sure why people are saying her exams are hard, because most of the questions came from the powerpoints. She was also a fairly easy grader as well, and she lets you drop your lowest exam or paper grade. As long as you study from the powerpoints you'll be fine.

I don't recommend Professor Wrobel or any of her classes. REALLY HARD EXAMS, too many discussions, and the powerpoints don't make sense. I suggest you take a different professor who has clearer grading criteria and more straightforwardness when it comes to exams.

Prof. Wrobel's class was awesome. The grading criteria is vert simple, 4 exams and an optional paper, write the paper and you don't have to take the 4th exam. It's all recorded lectures (which are very interesting) and discussion boards related to topics covered in discussion. She responds immediately and is very helpful.

There are 4 tests and one paper for this class. Buying the book is not necessary because her lectures come straight from the book and her tests will only ask you things talked about during lecture. Tests are straightforward with 40 MC and 2 essay questions. I got A's on the first 3 exams and paper so I didn't have to take the last exam.

I took this class online. Once you get over the fact you're just watching lectures that were recorded years ago, it isn't bad at all. I got an A on all of the exams so I didn't even have to do the research paper. Class was really easy. When she writes on the whiteboard, put an asterisk in your notes. It WILL be on the exam.

her exams are super hard. the lectures are hard to follow, because she speaks way too slow, displays no enthusiasm. i have to give her credit for being a nice lady though. other than that, she is super hard. i'm a biochemistry major student, and this is the only C i've ever gotten.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! The lectures are ok but the exams are stupid. No matter how much you study the book or listen in class the exams are Ridiculous! Exams are: A. This is a 400-level class, you're going to have to do work. There are 4 exams and an optional paper (which if you do it, she'll drop your lowest exam grade). The exams are hard, but she gives AWESOME study guides that cover exactly what's on the test. Easy grader on the papers. E-mail's really quick!!
