Comment:
He obviously knows a lot about math, but he assumes that everyone is on his level of knowledge so sometimes doesn't explain well. There also is a slight language barrier but nothing too bad. His tests are pretty easy as well. Always lets out early. Not the best teacher I've had but definitely not the worst.

Comment:
Do not take this professor. The class shouldn't be that hard but he is awful at explaining. He blocks the board as he writes so I could never see what he was writing. I took this class during summer and will most likely be retaking with a new professor in the fall.

Comment:
He never prepares ahead of time and refers to his notes every 3 minutes because he doesn't know what he's doing. He talks to the board and writes on it the WHOLE time. He's VERY hard to understand and has trouble understanding students as well. Super nice guy and smart, but he's an awful teacher. I even tried to go to office hours. It doesn't help.

took him fall '10, no webassigns, doesn't remind of you of maple, doesn't have a syllabus, doesn't really do anything but tests. that may be good if you took calc before, but most people struggled and he's hard to understand.. He's a good teacher if you already know calc, but if you wanna learn it, I would take someone else.

By far the worst teacher I have had at NC State. I got an A in MA 131 with no problem. I sit on the front row, but yet cannot hear him/understand what he's saying. Skips many steps when teaching material; doesn't have webassign; most of the class failed his second test but he doesn't see a reason to curve. I would definitely take someone different.

He is great! If you follow what he does in class, you will get a good grade. He curved each test and the final. A really nice guy

Horrible teacher. He's a nice guy, and he knows the material, but he cannot teach it. He faces the board while writing on it, so we cannot see what he's writing or hear what he's saying.

material is easy but all webassigns differ from what he teaches in class, and to make it more confusing, his tests dont really match up with either one. i guess look at his old tests he posts online and that should help. a genuinely nice guy though

In simlpest form, he is hard to understand. He assigns homework after you are done with taking the test on the chapter. Gets his own problems wrong in class. Explanations are unclear at best. The material is easy, but his follow through is lacking

Um, for me it was a very difficult class, it was my hardest class. However, the material was easy just in general. He had a hard time using the correct terminology. However, his knowledge on the subject is very large.

Material would probably be easier to understand if he explained his procedure more. He would also do the problems incorrectly and had to have his mistakes pointed out by the students. He would take the entire class to do one problem.

Doesn't really care about your needs. Very difficult to understand. His explainations are less than satisfactory. Easy material, but he somehow makes it hard to understand.

it's an easy class.. so expects everyone to know what he's talking about. writes numbers on the board and expects us to know how he got them. easy material.. hard to understand him. moves on when we have questions.

I enjoyed his teaching style so much that when I transferred to a Math major, I requested him as my advisor. He is very intelligent, very organized, and always takes the time to explain without condescension if anyone has a question. Because he is so organ

Not a bad teacher, very organized and lectures are helpful. Tests are not that hard and he curved final grades for my class really nicely, even after curving tests earned a 75, got a B.
