Straightforward class that's pretty easy. He emailed me back very quickly whenever I had a problem with something online. Do your work on time. He allowed me to get some credit on an assignment when I explained that I had ran into an issue with family and didn't turn it in on time. Overall pretty cool dude. Just do your work and you'll get an A!

Professor Baez wasn't the worst but his way of teaching was not for me. Expects you to know your stuff and while he refreshes you, it doesn't necessarily prepare you for everything needed to be done. Lots of homework on MyMathLab as well as 5 tests that have about 10 questions or less which is what your grade consists a lot of.

Prof. Baez was a great professor for Calc III. It was my second time taking the course and his teaching compared to my other professor was night and day. Just attending lectures and looking at his reviews will prepare you well. Exams make up 95% of your grade, homework 5%. He is a very fair grader so this should only concern you if you bomb tests.

Professor Baez is very knowledgeable but can be bland at times. He goes over lots of examples in class and dedicates a class to student suggestions and help before every test.

Comment:
Professor Baez is NOT a bad professor. He really wants his students to pass. He spends a lot of time giving examples about upper level math classes like calculus, getting the whole class off track. His examples during the class are WAY easier than the ones on the tests. You really need to find other exercises to study, because his won't be enough.

Very unethical and not willing to teach students that havent done math in a while. Refers to other subjects constantly and homework is completely different from whats on the test. Study guides for the test do not remotely even coorelate with what is on the test itself. Youll fail

Gets off topic and brushes over important concepts, while spending entire classes lecturing on easy topics everyone knew. He uses metaphors and thoroughly explains EASY topics but not the hard ones. Also he is not forgiving and doesn't give extra credit. I had a 89 and he would not bump me to an A for my final grade. Would choose another prof.

Hes so boring and he is always talking. Whenever he gives us practice problems he would do them before we got the chance to pick up the pencil. A lot of student, including me, have dropped his class. My friend also takes this class but with a different teacher and she understands everything. Must be nice. I hated his class so much. Very much.

Professor Baez is a very nice man. He doesn't make you feel stupid, and he is available during his office hours. Also used mathlab and prayer. Know intermediate algebra. Some things were new to me. Students cried (me too). Over half the students dropped. Gave extra credit opportunities after some tests and even on the final. Hit or miss I guess.

Prof Baez is a very good teacher. I recommend him to ppl who love math. READ THE BOOK AND DO PRACTICE PROBLEMS -a reliable way to earn good grade, practice probs on syllabus. There are 5 tests (7 ques), excluding the final, and are NOT multiple choice and worth 65% of your grade. Chances for extra credit is slim don't count on it. Be ready to study

This is the first time in my life when I had a professor that made every chapter hard. If you are failing and have the chance to withdraw DO IT!!!! This is the first class I ever failed and I am a math person but his test are just to short and so different than the homework. I learn more in the math center than in class. DO NOT GET THIS PROFESSOR!!

Baez is so beyond difficult. I've never needed a tutor before in my life until I had him. His tests have very little point opportunities and he offers you no extra credit. He makes the simplest equations very difficult as he goes off on topic that have nothing to do with the current problem.

Would talk about other classes instead of teaching the material which made it hard to follow. Quiz after every one or two lessons then test after every chapter.

Dropped his class along with about 12 other classmates. Not my type of teacher I guess. He expects you to know everything already that he is supposed to be teaching you. Would not recommend. Doesn't seem to really care.

Talks to students in demeanor way when test are not passed. Voices out loud the lowest scores of test as well as highest. Highest scores were low B's

Would not take recommend this professor at all. His teaching style is very confusing. The test that are giving have very little points no bonus question at all. Getting help outside the class is the only way you'll pass his class.
